There's a guy over on tacomaworld called homertaco that used to and may still sell all different types of mesh. I'll see if I can find his contact info.

I really like the mx series mesh grillcraft makes. Of course they skipped the 03-06 models. I contacted them today. They said there are no plans to make them for my model. Back to the drawing board.

Found these for my eventual mod. Thoughts? Would probably want to paint them darker, thinking of getting land cruiser TOYOTA slapped on right in the middle..

Just a few weeks ago I got around to installing a new grille and painted my front bumper. I used the EAG grille from EBay and painted the grille surround with bed liner to match my front bumper, which I also painted at the time. For the TOYOTA, I ordered the vintage logo from Amazon and sawed off the nubs in the back (it wouldn’t look level otherwise).

With a flat surface on the back of the logo, I epoxied the logo to the mesh with an ungodly amount of Automotive Goop. I have 2,000 freeway miles on it since I installed everything and it still holds up great. Let me know if you have any questions!20784D9A-1A8A-48CA-B4CA-CEB934A5083D.jpgA10773E9-68E7-4D7C-B8BE-5F084B7468FC.jpg

That thing looks killer. Did it fit good or was there any tweaking?

Thank you! I’m really happy with how it turned out. It fits well, maybe a slightly bigger gap between the grille and the hood than the factory grille. But honestly not enough for me to be unhappy with it.

Thank you! I am pretty happy with it. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of my process, but I'd be happy to do a quick write-up soon.

I bought this paramount styling off someone on here had it shipped and i just got it painted and installed. While i was at it I also painted the chrome piece on the bumper just so things looked better. Now i just need to get some Toyota lettering and a TRD badge.Screen Shot 2020-04-16 at 7.06.21 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2020-04-16 at 7.07.20 PM.jpg Screen Shot 2020-04-16 at 7.07.38 PM.jpg

I commented on this thread almost 2 years ago before going with the mesh GrillCraft brand. I ended up spraying some of the engine components flat black to hide the silver from showing through.

Here is a picture of the job taken last summer. The product is high quality and holding nicely. Cost was just under $200 shipped plus $17 for the OEM Tercel Toyota logo. I sprayed the original chrome frame surround (and side mirror caps) with a body matching Toyota 1D6 rattle can.

Looks great, what kind of prep work went into your bumper? Did you do any sanding prior to spraying and what bed liner can did you use?

Nice work! Can we get backstage pics?

I considered making my own at one point, but couldn’t find the proper mesh.

Sure, are you asking for details about how I installed the TOYOTA logo? Or just the grille in general?

Both... Grille: mounting to the hood like factory? Issues... good fit... solid or flimsy? Does the mesh seem secure... glued or molded to the grille frame?

    Logo: measurements... quality...

    Thanks!
