Annnnd 224 more yards of....sand! Couldn’t say no to sand LOL.
The wife was like - “WTF are you going to do with sand!?”
I was like - 224 yards delivered for $64 in pizzas today!?!? Make me a samich and shut yer pile-hole! I got work to do!
    :D

Eta - although I did explain last year we paid $300 for 14 yards delivered, and we just picked up $4,800 worth of material for $64 lol.
Now I just need someone with a paving company to give away a $50,000 blacktop driveway LMAO!!!!

I did something rather similar except I built it out of wood and used chain and eyebolts from the ceiling. I also have a much higher ceiling in my garage than you do.

I finished widening the roof on my chicken coop. Newbie builder error. Hopefully there wont be any more major leaks and the girls should remain fairly dry!

I run subsonic target shot because of the can.
I’m going to pickup some buckshot. I have to fire upwards, don’t want to send a slug up.

Painted the garage door that leads to my deck yesterday. It's in rough shape and needs replacing soun. Lipstick on a pig, but I had red rustoleum so it'll be fine for a little while.

Then I moved a storage box on the deck and realized how dirty it is, so
I washed the deck today. I had some Restore A Deck cleaner and wood brightener left from when I stained it. It's amazing how filthy it has gotten in 2 years. I really need to clean it yearly. Forgot a before pic, but you can see deck in pic of door yesterday and today. Shadows make after pic look weird. I put down the cleaner with a pump sprayer and let it sit for a while. Then used electric power washer with cleaning "disc". Rinsed, sprayed brightener with pump sprayer. Let that sit and rinsed. Will probably apply a coat of stain in the next couple weeks now that its clean.

What a difference. Definitely needs stain, water isn't beading up like it was last year.
I have enough left over to do a coat.
Armstrong Clark oil based. Goes on really easy with a car wash brush. No bending either.

Yep! A buddy down the road is renting it for $110 hr on the hr meter includes fuel - can keep it for 2 weeks. $120 transport in and $120 transport out.
Pretty good deal! I’m going to rework my front 8 acres I think LOL.

Holy shit! I’ve never ran a dozer before. This thing is badass!!! (And way easier to operate than I thought). Buddy ripped the stump out in a few minutes then taught me how to run it. One hour and I had more land graded down than 80hrs with my 53hp Kubota LOL.

There was a downstairs hall and bathroom that I just hated. Had horrible tile and the bathroom had shitty wallpaper with a little wood rope trim thing bordering it. In the last 12 days putting new tile down (I always forget how much I hate laying tile until I actually start putting it down), put up wainscoting, stripped and repainted the cabinet, painted the bathroom walls and ceiling, and I replaced the clawfoot tub faucet + drain. Glad to be done.fl5Li+cpSs6s8Dcexf9LAQ.jpgNDS1JtphSu6AOleSbM4ORA.jpgRG5YbXHHQWyCjqTom7mRZg.jpgoIEk92RWSaCLFa%N8xBB0A.jpg

Thanks. Years ago we lived in a Pulte home and the kitchen tile cracked. We couldn't match the tile so we decided to re-tile the whole kitchen. I didn't want to pay somebody $800 to do it because I thought I could do it cheaper. $2000 and a month later, I finally finished it. The refrigerator and stove were in the living room. It was pure hell. But I learned. A lot. :censored:

Thanks - I told my wife "I think I'm going to do herringbone." I had no idea. Fortunately I bought a speed square a month or too ago and once I was able to wrap my head around working with the 45 degree angle, it went a lot faster. I screwed my lines up in the bathroom. Instead of working my way to the wall, I dry-laid a bunch of the tiles and then cut the end tiles. I put my end tiles in first and worked my way back. So when I got to the center, the spacing was all dorked up. I was able to hide a lot of it under the toilet.

Haha now that's a success story!
The angles drive me insane, I set all my bath tiles straight but might do a herringbone when it's time redo the showers.

As long as you can get that first row set up at a 45 degree angle to the wall, you should be home free. Then when I would get to the other wall where I'd have to cut, I'd measure the distance on one side, mark it, and then use my trusty speed square (I had a couple of them because I have a knack for misplacing things) to mark off the angle to cut.

Just finished up adding on to the deck this past weekend. Original deck was roughly 14x10, and we added 12 ft to it, now making it 26x10. I am definitely glad to be done, those pickets drove me crazy! I need to power wash my original side eventually and put some stain/sealant down when the new wood is ready. Anyone have any good stains/sealants they recommend? I'm not looking to paint it on, but rather put it in a sprayer, and spray it on.
