Damn that sucks. Good you have a cam though. These are exactly the types of incidents they're for, when its too easy to play he said she said.

I hope this goes your way but I just wanted to chime in with my example video from my '17 Tacoma which I recently sold to get my '18 Tundra. In the video I'm turning right and so is the guy in the lane beside me. For whatever reason he veers into my lane and side-swipes my truck.

Long story short, while I feel this was 100% the other driver's fault, I spoke to the other driver's insurance adjuster who ruled that I was 20% at fault for this accident and that I would need to file a claim with my own insurance instead of them. Their logic was that I did not take "evasive action", which I find hard to believe as I drove up onto the median and almost into oncoming traffic to avoid the guy! Their insurance never paid out and the damage, which was just me getting an alignment since the only thing they made contact with was my front right tire, was actually paid for directly by my insurance agent since it didn't meet my deductible and he felt my insurance company was doing me wrong.

Kevin...a coworker recently had similar damage to his 2017 Ferd truck. Was able to get a decent off road bumper. His insurance OK'd it. Had to be equal or less than OEM parts. A thought!

And he pays any price difference over returning it to it’s original condition, so long as he’s agreeable to the deal. Pretty simple when handled correctly.

I was hit from behind while stopped at a red light, 16 year old girl slammed into the back of the GMC I owned at the time, she was driving a VW rabbit, her car went under my truck. Long story short her insurance co said I was at fault since I was out "running around" with no set destination. It was a Saturday evening and I was on a date. Phone call to attorney, and so forth they forked over the money for damages, but man what a mess.
