Cat back delete

I couldn't find it in the forums but who had done then what's your guys opinion on this pros cons I always like louder...

 

Are you talking about just running straight pipes after your catalytic converters? Or are you talking about getting rid of one or more cats and leaving your existing exhaust?

 

If you are talking about removing everything including the muffler back, there has been a few guys that have done this... There is a guy on tundratalk that is lifted 12" with 40" tires and he seems to like it. His username is "Punch" if you wanna check out his posts. I would assume you would lose low end torque but I am far from an expert... I love my BAmuffler...

 

Our Tundra VVTi are very sensitive to mods so do lots of research before getting your hands dirty and waste time/money. Do some searching around on other forums, I think this has been talked about before. I have personal experience with cat/muffler delete first hand when I was lot younger. Not on a Tundie though. The result is negative because of back pressure problem. I don't recommend it at all. But if all you want is fun by all mean go for it. It will be LOUD and sound like a redneck truck. It's your truck do what you want.

 

Anybody try just straight pipes after the cat ?
