Wondering if anyone has any experience using any kind of fabric guard on their furniture, specifically microfiber. I ordered a new sofa and love seat and would like to use something.
I have used scotchguard on on stuff in the past and it was ok but really needed to be treated every few months.
I got some stuff called Vector that I used for some area rugs that had great reviews. It works just ok and again needs frequent appmication.
I was just looking at the 303 product line and they make some fabric guard. I really like their products but I feel it'll be similar to scotchguard.
Any ideas or opinions are appreciated
    Thanks

Other than this, I have not found anything. Earth Tone colors to me are best, kind of hide dirt. No eating, drinking, pets, or children and it will help keep clean.

Enjoy your sofas and replace in 8-10 years.....

    Good Luck!

In furniture stores they sell a microfiber cleaning kits. They work great. We have a light tan color and trust me 2 boys, 2 cats and a dog hasn't ruined them yet. Probably had the sofa set 6 years.

You shouldn't need anything for microfiber, as that's the selling point of microfiber, that it's easily cleanable. How are you hoping to enhance the MF?

I didnt know that. I just wanted some stain protection. I'll probably buy some 303 spot and multipurpose cleaner. I have read it's good for microfiber. Any suggestions for another cleaner?

My late grandmother had this stuff on her auto upholstery in her old Ford LTD. When we were kids it was miserable. It got super hot in the summer, or too cold in the winter, so we'd sit on towels and then slide everywhere. But by golly, that upholstery looked perfect to the day she died.

My dad used to have an old LTD. Huge leather seats that he would armor all like a mofo. Since we didn’t tend to wear seatbelts back then, we’d slide back and forth like pinballs back there.

3M makes some spray. Or, just let it go. With kids it will get destroyed anyways.

I used to work in a furniture store back in high school (not sure if anythings changed in the last 15 years), but i remember them saying that you cant really treat microfiber with anything like scotchguard.
