Recently given a slightly used Pioneer NEX 8100 Head unit with Blue Tooth, Nav, DVD & Backup Camera. Had it installed today with new Tailgate Latch / Camera. Turned out pretty nice.

Thats a nice headunit. Has auto time alignment and eq. And the crossover visual display is sweet. Looks really good too.

Thanks! It does have many features and sounds much better even with stock speakers. I need to download the manual for all the info. Kind of miss a volume "Knob" but will get used to it.

I like that color matched grill! I've got a couple of bubbles in the chrome on mine and I think if it starts flaking off, I'm going to get it painted to match the truck.

    What lights are those??

What tailgate latch/camera did you get? I recently put one in but it pretty much just shows the ground about 10 feet behind the truck.

New camera / Latch assembly. Quality seems good, at night not as effective, black n white more grainy but many are.

Curious if camera might be adjustable inside latch?

So those are 1.25" spacers then? I'm debating between that and 1" on current TRD wheels

Yeah, 1.25". No issues with crud being slung up on the side of the truck.

Tentative thumbs-up to Diode Dynamics and reverse light 921 XP50 LED bulb replacement.

I took advantage of Diode Dynamics's July 4th sale and and bought the above mentioned LED bulbs at 20% off, which I discovered was really like only 10% off seeing how even though the bulbs still cost over $70 they didn't qualify for free postage. A lot of places won't charge for postage if your purchase is over $50, or even sometimes $35, but Diode Dynamics charges full postage...I think it was $8...on two small light bulbs, but I digress.

Previously I've had issues with some of their interior bulbs that fit into the overhead console. The front bulbs fit reasonably well, but the bulbs for the rear seats, at least in my truck, in my hands, didn't fit well at all. They didn't have a positive seat and the slightest movement caused the bulbs to flicker, or become dislodged, but again, I digress.

I am happy to report though, at least so far, the reverse lights I installed are working very well.

It is indeed plug and play and the bulbs fit into their sockets with a very satisfying snap, something that was definitely missing with the interior bulbs I purchased.

There is a very definite increase in light, even more than is evident in the photo. The difference between the LED and the halogen is quite dramatic.

At this point I am happy with my purchase, but the real test will be how reliable these lights are and if they can stand up to the rigors of rough dirt roads.

    I hope this helps.

Did somebody call for Dual Batteries? I made a few modifications to the Genesis Offroad dual battery box for the third gen, and made it fit my second gen.

When my brother owned the truck he brought it in on the first service an of course the dealership was orders to hack a couple inches off the throttle pedal. I still believe that was a big three b.s. recall conspiracy against toyota, anyway I've hated the way the pedal feels, especially barefoot (hey it's summer) so I made a little wider aluminum plate and riveted it on. I'll probably take some skateboard grip tape an cover it, but for now it's a huge improvement, no it doesn't stick on the mat and the throttle feel is great.

My $22 mod. What a pain, the 3rd gen guys got it easier since their grille doesn't open with the hood. I'm not really happy with the picture, it's crooked. It may have something to do with the hot glue holding it in, but there was no other way to mount it.
