    Sorry for not knowing this already. I searched other threads and didnt find any info so figured I would ask. I have a 2018 Tundra SR5 with 18" steel wheels. I want to upgrade and keep seeing people offer wheels w/o TPMS. My truck has TPMS I believe because I can see the tire pressure on my display. So does that mean that if I change to those wheels they are selling I will not be able to see the tire pressure on my display in the truck? Or is there a part that I need to transfer over from my current wheels to make it work? Again sorry for not having a clue but figured I would ask the experts on here. Thanks

    You transfer your current TPMS sensors onto your knew wheels/tires. When i got my new wheels/tires, discount tire just transferred them over. I am not sure how difficult it is to do it yourself. Create a post on the main page and someone should be able to give the info you need.

    There are different sensors for steel and aluminum wheels. Unfortunately if you have steel wheels the sensors will not work on the aluminum TRD wheels. Also, there are different sensors for the 2014-2017 and the 2018's. See post #3:

    So, if I purchase and install the TRD wheels/tires on my SR5 you are saying that I can use the wheels but the TPMS won't work. Is it ok to still use these wheels without the TPMS? Is it going to have some red light on in my dash or anything? My plan is to install the TRD wheels and tires from a 2014. Just put up with the issue of not have TPMS for the time being(as long as there is not a crazy indicator or something). Then when its time to change out tires(probably a year or so), purchase and install the TPMS sensors at that time. Will this work?

    I did the swap to TRD rims using the original steel rim TPMS.(flipped) Sensors worked for about a day and 1/2. After that they lost communication. Tried the reset and no luck. I'm not going to worry much about it right now, but you will have a light on in the dash.
