Saw this and decided to take some pics. . . Not a Tundra; but still family ;)
Based on conversion rate, truck is about $19-$20K in USD. Was a 4x2 manual transmission. Engine was 2.7L 4 banger. 166 HP and 180 lb of torque. Nice looking little truck. Also put up a gratuitous pic of the new Ford Ranger (base model) that I believe is supposed to be in the US soon.

Hilux's are sold all over the world except here. You can get them with a 4X4 diesel too. I see one around town every now and then. Not sure what was done to make it legal.

yep bank account is running low from it..
Hilux and the Tacoma share alot of things together.. 2nd gen Tacoma you can drop in the 4d diesel in with no problems.

Tundra is only for the USA market. No other country has a need for a large truck.

@matluth.. To import them legally they must conform to the USA safety standards, I believe emissions is now on the list. (COUGH) .. Now with that all that said and done (cough) .. When the truck becomes legal you will have a shit load of paperwork and all that paperwork must be in a safe place. When you sell it the paperwork must goto the new owner... It's like a passport for the truck. And insurance companies have fun all I will say..

    Imported illegal equals crushed.

I new a few Marines that went thru a bunch of hoops to bring 240/60 Z's to the USA from Japan. What was weird is they were called Fair Ladys in Japan back then.

I agree, it reminds me of a modern day Isuzu
