Phoenix MVD emissions testing actually tests your gas cap for proper sealing. If it fails they offer you a new gas cap (used to be for free, not sure these days) instead of failing your emissions and requiring you to retest.
Normally i would think it is your gas cap, but since you recently registered the truck it should have been emissioned and the gas cap checked.
In any case a new cap is relatively inexpensive.

Hmm. I will look into a new gas cap for sure.

So, I have seen a few tundras on the road in AZ that have the AZ Tundras sticker... how do I get one? Who do I need to talk/ pay to get one of those!?!

Not much has changed except the amount of times he got dirty and got a bath! I love the fact I can go anywhere and not have to worry about my truck.

Went mudding and I ended up getting some into the air box so I cleaned that out.
    Changed the oil.
Checked everything else and it was good! Love this truck.

Recently had to swap a rear axle bearings. It was making a 'womp womp' noise while rolling down the street.. I replaced the carrier bearing hoping that would solve it but then the rear axle seal broke on the passenger side so I found the problem.

It was a fun experience, I decided to do that myself since I dont have ABS on the truck it requires a little less skill. Honestly, all you need for replacing the axle bearings is a press tall enough to slide the bearings on and off and some black pipe/ maybe a custom collar press. I wish I could upload photos through my phone.

@18robinson.jacob Looks awsome! My dad is going to leave his 1st gen at my house for a few months while my parents house shop. I wonder what he would think if he came back and it looked like that, lol. I saw a similar one up here in WA with color matched canopy. Looked really nice, maybe inspired from yours! If I was a little shorter and fit better, I would sell my second Gen and go this route less the frame swap.

Recently got a camper shell for it and got it painted to match.
Still have a check engine light so I'm thinking of replacing some of the evap emission hoses to find the leak.
Future plans - keep driving the hell out of it. I will replace the ball joints soon, and figure out why my truck has the driver side lean in the back end.

the lean is common and exagerated by lifting the truck.. a 1/4" spacer on the driver side shock usually will get it more level

lean is because the battery, driver and gas tank are all on one side

Spacer on front coil over fixes the lean on the back end?

Not even three years since I have started driving the truck and put over 55k miles on it.
Easily the best thing I have owned.

It'll roll over 200,000 miles tomorrow on my way to work. Crazy that I got this truck and gave it a second chance. Hope to keep it for another 200,000.
