It’s as easy as the video suggests. No cutting or trimming. You’d have a hell of a time cutting it anyway as it’s super durable. My son and I did it in about 15-20 minutes.

Watch a few more videos for peace of mind, it really is a cool product.

Thank you for the reassurance. I wonder what was wrong with the guy who complained.

I couldn't answer that one. It's similar to pitching a tent I suppose. I'm sure someone out there thinks cutting the tent works better than simply placing stakes in the ground and using the support poles (showing my age).

I wouldn't give much concern to it. Buy one and if you have any questions, hit us up... Its that easy.

This might be the next project for my Tundra. I've got the factory drop in liner now along with the factory bedrails. Do the bedrails have to come off to remove the drop in liner? Also does the bed rug get trimmed to go around the rails or do the rails go back on last and sit on top of the bed rug?

Well, the only variable is how the dealership installed the liner. Most cut underneath the load rails. So, the answer to your question is No, most of the time the rails stay in place for removal process.
To answer question number two, you simply make a small incision with an exacto knife to expose the mount to pass the bolt through to mount the rail AFTER the rug is dropped in.
The reason I have drop brackets is due to the Tri fold cover, which utilized the factory mounts for the rails anyway.
    Did that answer your question

In case your wondering... The thickness of the rug conceals the hole easily, so it never looks sloppy or exposes the bare pickup bed.

Reexamination of the photos I uploaded will tell the story as well.

So the top edges on the sides and front of the bed would be tucked under and secured behind the rails?

The top edges of the bedrug actually extend all the way to the top of the bed, just under the lip on all sides.. Perfect fit

And yes.. The rails are over the bedrug, and secured with the factory bolts. The rails actually do a fine job flattening everything out too

Look at the picture of the bulkhead where the bedrug embroidery is... See how I remounted the rail?

    Thanks for the pics

So I may need to add drain hoses later if I decide to go with a tonneau cover rather than a shell?

    Thanks

It’s purely up to you. No harm done if you don’t. It’s not like it’s not weatherproof

I had one in my 2016 TRD PRO and Loved it! Install is a cake. It is super durable and very comfortable as well. I will be buying one for my 2018 as soon as I sell a few of my TRD PRO Parts.
