46 gallons

Picked up my new TransferFlow tank today. Will post as many pictures with details as I muster up the energy to get it started.

lol, good luck trying to get past the $100 limit on gas pumps. pita having to cycle twice to fill up an empty tank.

 

Install done. Took friend and I about 5 hours. Used instructions from TransferFlow which were pretty thorough. Have digital copy they sent me should anybody want it.

 

Im around $80-85 for a full tank of unleaded with my 38gal. good luck with the big girl!

It's nice not having to fill up every couple of days

Did you have to recalibrate your gauge?

 

I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on one of those myself.

 

after a 4034 mile trek with our 30ft trailer, I am so hating the 26 gallon that makes me nervous as heck at 19.5 gallons empty (low fuel light) and giving me the "you better stop or else" refuel at 20.5 gallons used!

 

I am not positive on calibration or not at this point. I filled my mobil 14 gallon tote and emptied the whole thing in. When i reconnected my battery, it showed a little above 1/4 tank. The height difference between the transferflow and the oem is not that much of a difference. (Will measure them when i get the time) I also put a level on the top of my tailgate and found there was a bit of a lean, but not what i expected. The drivers side is a bit higher. Will have to check it out when i fill the tank all the way up. I realize that a full tank with the oem is going to show X miles whereas the new tank will still show the same amount for the same level. I may check into if it’s possible to show the extended range, but I won’t lose any sleep over it.

 

So u have transfer flow AND OEM 38gal tank?

 

No. The oem was a 26.4. The transferflow replaces it.

 

I wouldn't mind having those instructions. Maybe something I can do in the future.

 

I always assumed it hung below the frame further than that, looks good!

 

I might be towing a car from Denver to Jacksonville in APril, I need to get one of these before then, because that is too far for a 26 gallon tank

 

Curious if this gets in the way of installing rock sliders and/or RCI skid plates. I'd like to upgrade from the 26 gallon one at some point, but don't want a larger tank to get in the way of any other upgrades.

 

We should try a group buy w transfer flow or LRA.

 

Would love that! I am most likely going to find a dealer in Nevada to drive to and install since CA EPA will not allow!

 

Will try to get some better pictures of the tanks location in the next few days.
