Anyone know if you can swap out the "auto down" only switch for an "auto up an down" or maybe add an auto switch for the passenger's side? Or maybe it's way more complicated than that. Anyone know?

It's more complicated, there's an ECU and something or another to add. I haven't read of anyone bothering to follow through with it. With CANBUS wiring, it turns out that things don't seem to be as "plug and play" as they used to be.:annoyed:

That's what I figured but was hoping for a plug and play option. Thanks for the info!

    Not nearly enough room here!
I bought and installed Modual a few years ago from "Auto-Loc" through The Hoffman Group's website. It cost $ 50-60 and enables Auto-Up on any window. We have to scan our badge every day at work and auto-up on the Drivers-Side (like Wife's 04 Pilot) really helps. The wires are super thin but instructions were pretty clear.

Says it only controls 2 windows. Is there a version for all 5?

It either does 2 windows auto both ways or 4 windows auto one way. I only care about the 2 front. I haven't seen a module that controls more than 4 but I have heard of guys buying two so they have 4 auto up and down.

My truck has auto up/down on both front windows factory. Maybe a Platinum only feature?

As for the DEI stuff. They work great. I installed them on my old 1st gen. Needed 3 modules to do all the windows in the truck though. I also tied it to my alarm so they rolled up any time I armed it.

I think Platinums and 1794s. There were are a couple things I was surprised about that did not come stock on the Pros, the auto up/down and dual climate. And of course they had to upgrade the interior to leather on the 16's :(

Can you give me some more information on this? What's involved and how does it work. Does this still allow for rolling the window down or up part way?

Unfortunately this has just sat in my "mod" drawer in the garage. Haven't gotten around to the install yet so can't comment on that part yet. Its a 2 way / 4 way system meaning that you can either do two windows auto both ways (up and down) or 4 windows auto one way (up or down). Obviously if you do the 2 way you'll have to change the switch out with one that has the double click so you can still manually control the window. My plan is to do the 4 way auto down on all windows so then I can still manually adjust up.

Thanks! I am curious if this would work with a platinum window switch with he two way up and down. That way you don't loae the functionality of a normal window. I really hate driving my wife's 4Runner, using the auto windows, then getting in my truck and realizing my windows don't auto up haha.

actually, think i found it. 84820-0c040 for a USK56L-CRTLGA shows to be auto up/auto down. would be interesting to know if it's a plug and play or if there is programming involved

For the price you pay for these new trucks, you would think this would be standard on all trucks these days.

I'd be happy with all four window switches illuminating. Why the two front only are is kind of crazy.
