So I've had my Leer canopy for a whopping two days and noticed a small flaw in the paint. At the rear of the canopy, it's like something got stuck under the paint while they painted it, or there was a flaw in the fiberglass or something. Anyway, there's a tiny little spot where the paint looks to be flaking off and I can just see it getting worse if I don't nip it in the bud right now. If you zoom in on the attached pics you can see what I'm talking about.

I'll be going into the dealer in the morning, but is that something that can be fixed or should I ask for a new cap?

I could see it without zooming in on your first pic. That would irritate the piss out of me. I would personally ask for a new one.....

Don’t you wish everything was Toyota quality?

I would get a new one, period.

Agreed, take it back and see what they say. Defects should be covered under warranty. Did you buy one they had laying around or special order? Not saying anything bad about Leer but I've always had better luck with Snug Top, especially with paint matching/ quality.

This was a special order I just had installed on Wednesday. I've had Leer canopies on my last two trucks and never had any issues, so hopefully the dealer will take care of this. I'll head in later this morning and let you all know how it goes.

So I just went in to the dealer and they agreed that it's a flaw. However, they said they just want to send it back for warranty repair and that it'll take about four weeks... It only took them 13 days from the time I placed the order to get it installed, so it seems kind of ridiculous that I have to live without it for four weeks. Plus, it now is going to have had paint work done (I assume they'll just sand it down and repaint...) when it's less than a week old. Should I push for a new one or at least try to get them to throw another accessory in?

Just get them to throw another accessory in if you could. I thought they were under warranty for life. So if the paint fades in the future you could bring it back again?

If push for a new one honestly. That should have been caught during a quality control check

That's kind of what I'm leaning towards. I was debating adding the 12v outlet (only like a $50-75 accessory) originally, so I'll at least push to get them to throw that in. At least they acknowledged it was a flaw.

I agree. I'd probably normally push for a new one, but I'm trying to cut some stress out of my life :D. It's a long story, but when I had my Line-X sprayed in the installer obviously dragged the hose along the side of the bed and scuffed the paint. The manager was a total d-bag about it and it didn't get resolved until I came back when the owner was available. My truck was only a couple weeks old and I swear I was going to lose it on somebody. Anyway, after that I realized I just need to chill out and take it easy with stuff like this.

Sucks but I don't think any custom mfgr is going to give you a new one just because of a small flaw especially on a large item. The 4 week wait sucks too when it just needs to go to a body shop for a few days. I would want a new one too but I have to be realistic.
