What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I'll see how this does and report back. Seems like it'll be durable but who knows. It says its flexible on the can which may be helpful

 

A lot of rubbing until I removed the splash guards.

 

Installed some amp steps a couple weeks ago. Had issues splicing the rear driver wire, so it doesn’t work with that door lol. Oh well.

 

Did your platinum come with color matched door handles and mirror caps?

 

No I replaced them. Got the parts from sparks Toyota.

 

I wouldn't have slept if I didn't do the platinum badge in console tonight. Easy peasy. Just double sided tape holding it on. Same trim paint as other stuff.



The stuff in my console tray is drawer liner, keeps my phone from sliding and rattling around while charging. I put a Wireless charge under there. Works okay but could be better.

Did the chrome trim lining in the shifter channel pop right off?

 

No. Once you get the whole trim piece off you need to flip it over and cut off some plastic weld / epoxy with a small sharp chisel to get the actually chrome piece off to paint. It's very easy and I used hot glue to reattach it where I removed the epoxy.

Welcome. Getting whole whole trim piece off took me a little bit. There's 3 clips that hold it down hard to get to but once you see them you'll know what to do

 

Added the bed cover today. Its an off-brand but i liked the look of it.

 

Thank you for posting up the good info on yours. I had been searching for a good replacement hitch that was adjustable and had 2" and 2 5/16" interchange. This suits the bill just fine and it's built like a tank!

I do. I used to use the Taco to tow it. That was about the Tacos limits. Now the Tundra makes it so much easier. How you like the change. PS I have the Inferno too!

Hard to tell from the photo but the cargo light in the 3rd brake light is NOTICEABLY brighter. Took 5-10 minutes to install. I used the tape method to pull the old bulbs.

I’m standing at a different angle and using a different camera (check the temperature of the street light and the bed lights), but you can get a general idea from the picture.
