    Ok,

I have seen a few home gyms pop up on the sight and I figured we should have a place to show what you have built at home to avoid all the trouble of having to share equipment at your local gym.

Here is my current set up. I am always looking to improve and add to it. Please forgive the unfinished basement. Its on my long list of things to do.

Holy F...do you sell monthly subscriptions to come work out in your basement? You have more equipment than our local planet fitness.

    I’m just over here like...

We have a two person setup. You can set up or set down. We paid extra for that feature.

Personally, I pay for my gym membership. It's a 23 min drive (without traffic) one way. I've been going there since 2014 and will not go anywhere else. I pay for the environment really. That, and my employer gives me a cash reimbursement monthly for it so I can't complain =)

Cannot stand PF. I was using them quite a bit when I was traveling with my last employer. Not to put myself on a high horse, but their highest dumb-bell was not even my warm up. I had to do a lot of negatives.

I hear ya, I got tired of Power House and Golds. Everyone there thought I was their personal trainer. Spot me, what would you recommend for this that and the other thing. Wait for equipment blah blah. So I decided to just cut to the chase and build my own gym and bypass the headaches.

I'll take pics later but I just have a couple free weights, treadmill, stationary trainer for my mtn bike, agility ladder and punching bag.

I've always hated lifting weights, even when i was "in" to it in high school. Weight training makes up maybe 10% of my training. Always prefered cardio and body weight exercise. I enjoyed the agility, speed and endurance gained as opposed to getting to the next level of weight.

Lamar Fitness. They sold out to Star Track fitness a few years ago. They completely killed the brand off. I have owned it for over 10 years and use it all the time, It has held up very well.

I converted our screened-in side porch into our workout area. All free-weight. It's pretty basic - a full cage, a roman chair, and there's a treadmill in there that belongs to my wife. I juDRxysLaTien8JKGHu97Aw.jpg dSEqrDwNSD+4p7zlmdzCsw.jpg ust ordered a Rower that I'll put on this inside balcony thingy that we have (it's an old, interesting house) and I'm going to order a Roque Ohio barbell to replace the crappy bar that I have.
