Dude! Thank you for this post. Extremely useful.

@papasmurf why don't you just buy the cross member??? Seems easier than making one

    @SoCalDave
I’ve been following your build and enjoying the quality a lot. Well thought out and well executed.
From the first day I got my Tundra, I’ve been researching and watching dual battery setups and this is the cleanest I’ve seen so far. Not interested in having a battery in the cab, in the bed, or underneath.
My question: can you list the rest of the items (controller, switch, solenoid, wires, etc) that you used to make the system complete? Pictures of where you mounted and routed the components would help immensely.
I am probably not the only one hoping for this information.
Thanks, and I’m looking forward to continued progress on your build!

Awesome setup Dave... Tagging along since this is just about the same setup that I'm looking to do. Since I'm right here in MV, you are most likely "local", so I may hit you up with questions etc.

LOVE the dual battery setup. Like most others, I really don't want to have the 2nd in the truck bed or in the cab.

    Thanks Ray!

We'll be releasing our accessory tray shortly after which will provide a nice base for all of the components to mount next to the dual batteries. It should be large enough to mount an isolator, breakers/fuses, ground buss bar/post and a fused relay box/SPOD/Switchpros/Bussmann RTMR. More pics and details to follow!

I just lifted my truck and added bigger tires. I’m having rubbing issues in reverse. can u advise me on the mods you did to your front wheel wells? I noticed in the beginning of this thread there is a picture but any advice is appreciated.

BMC, front bumper trim, alignment to maximize caster. It will also depend on your offset of your wheels.

Just got this installed. I wish it came with a simple on/off switch at the compressor. The electrical was the worst part. I am not an electrical kind of person. My hats off to everyone who looked at that space and said "Self, I think that I could squeeze that ARB air compressor in there." :hattip:

Looks good! Yeah, running electrical is not always fun. If you wanted to, there are extra compressor mounting holes on the XFAKTR logo side that can be used to mount a switch or accessories.

    Thanks.

I had to run the power lines to the battery. It was barely enough wire to get there. Then the rocker switch it came with, I did not want to run to the cab. Maybe I wired it wrong, but I had to attache the thing red/yellow wire to the battery too. It was labeled ignition switch. I am not sure if I messed that up or not. I have bad luck with wiring instructions usually being poor for lack of in-depth knowledge. The instructions didnt have wiring instructions for just the compressor. I was hoping to find a way to mount a water proof switch under the hood. Something like this, that is designed to be under the hood of a truck. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!PLTPL-SW26-Pilot-Automotive-Performance-Safety-Cover-Toggle-Switch.jpg

Yeah man, it's works great. Once the regulator is set, attach the hoses and let it go. I used three 10 ft hoses, one 6 ft hose with clip ons, a manifold and a shut off valve.

    Accessory tray
We're sending it to YotaBeast as two separate pieces. They'll probably do as bundle or by itself I'm guessing...

XFAKTR Dual Odyssey Battery Mount and Accessory Tray

After a few delays, our Dual Battery Mount and Accessory Tray is in production and is two weeks out! I apologize for any inconvenience to those who have pre-ordered. The Accessory tray provides a large two level surface for all the electronic goodies. It sits a little over 2 inches above the Relay/Fuse box so that buss bars and other items can be mounted on the bottom side as well at the top. It's hinged to swing open if you need access to the fuse box below.

    Check it out: https://xfaktr.com/#odysseyDualBat

stoked. looking forward this and i'm glad i held off for awhile on the dual battery setup.

looks like it extends over the fuse box, yes? not a big deal, i'll have to reach out to the yotabeast guys and get the accessory tray added to my pre-order. i'll have to move my switch pros head unit and fuse block as they are currently on the fuse box cover.

    Awesome!

Yes, goes over the fuse box. Should have plenty of space for the switch pros and other accessories.

I like your build and truck looks badass, what is your total ground clearance with 37s? Might be a stupid question but 37s on any size wheel provide the same lift height correct?

Hi Dave, I’ve tried to reach out to XFAKTR and Yotabeast about the ARB Twin mounts. Do you have a connection with them? I’d like to order one as soon as I can so I can get mine mounted. Thanks.
