You friend should have bought a prius :p

    Kidding!

You just need to get the first one out of the way, that one hurts the most haha. Or stick to wider trails as often as possible! Pinstripes can be like a badge of pride though

I was at Corral Canyon a year and a half ago. The sketchiest part for me was towards the back area. The left turn where you have to hug that mountain around a ledge. Luckily not many pinstripes. The parking lot area was nice for a view

Oooh it was wet when you went! Looks like a good time. I'm not sure I know the spot you're talking about. The trail we did had a cool tight corner around a boulder lol

I still have so much to explore out there, looking at a map I think we did Corte Madera Rd.

Yes. Lots of huge puddles. We did Pine Valley > Bear Valley to the S1. I actually love 4x4ing in mud or snow. I just hate cleaning up mud after. We did easy trails last weekend at Indian Cove and Joshua Tree.

I made it to the top of John Bull gatekeeper last weekend! I wanted to do dishpan and all that area, but the guys I was with weren't up for it lol My buddy is having problems uploading all the video, but I promise there is video of me getting off this rock and sailing to the top:

Oh and we dragged a 2wd through White Mountain but it definitely wasn't friendly

I'm supposed to be doing this trail in a month. I hope my rear bumper is done in time! 33" tires are going to be a pain in the dick haha

I'm doing it if my bumper shows up. Going with two other buddies on 33" so yeah we're going to struggle haha. They're both great spotters though!

The start of JB to the gate keeper is "little john bull" or "john bull east". Once you get to the gate keeper then you're on "real" trail. At least that's what I've been told lol.

Correct. We did John Bull east to the gatekeeper. I never thought it was something I would try, even with 37s and the new lift. But I the trail was completely empty and I had a few cans of Pepsi and a big shot of Mountain Dew... Next thing I knew I was past the point of no return lol Took me over half hour to clear it

Is this the gatekeeper? Does it get easier or harder after this?

Yes this is the gatekeeper. It's been rearranged. It was a lot harder last year. When I got to the top I turned around because I was by myself, but I've heard the rest of the trail is easier. Just tight

Hahaha those fuckers watched me struggle for 5 minutes at the beginning before Jimmy had the grace to respond to me yelling at him to spot me LOL

Yeah, that's the gate keeper. From what I've been told it does get easier, but there's a couple sections nearly as tough.

Damn you need better friends! Looked like a wild ride!

Gotta have a good spotter for some of the tough lines

That would be cool. If we could get the two groups together, that would be epic. The problem is my truck isn't making it through John Bull lol @fisherman951 has a beefed up tundra, I think he could do it :D:boink:

Haha no wouldn’t plan a trail like that with you guys!
Something like White Mountain would be a blast. I want to try Gold Mountain, just didn’t have time last trip up there. That trail I believe needs sliders, and a lift and tires are preferred.

Lol my son did ask tho when we where going again. So ive been keepimg my eye open but everything thats getting done is super technical for my truck.

Gold mtn is more torn up compared to last year. You can get through without sliders if you have careful spotting. There are only two major obstacles:

It was awesome! Danny did good! Beat the S out of his armor, had a few 'oh shit!' moments(we all did!), heard he F'd his alignment all to hell. Only trouble I encountered was a popped bead on my front left rim. We jacked it up n reseated the tire using a Co2 tank. Really sucks not having a front locker cause as soon as I lift a front wheel then I'm basically a locked 2x. :mad:IMG_2293.jpgIMG_2292.jpg

I ran Holcomb Creek a few weeks ago and tbh, this was a much tougher run.
