Well I finally found a 1st Gen Tundra after 2 months of searching. I saw it online at a dealership in South Florida. Seeing as how it was an 11 hr drive, I took a chance and bought it without seeing it in person. I then hired a transport company to deliver it. In honor of the truck's previous home, my inspiration for this build will be a truck that you might see out on the sand while camping or fishing at the beach. It may seem odd since I live on a farm in TN, but whatever.

So it finally came and this is how it looks
    The good...
The timing belt and water pump were changed 20k miles ago. It already has a mild lift with practically brand new 255 75/R17 BFG mud terrains and FJ wheels. The frame looks to be in great shape.
    The bad...
The camper top is nice. It has windoors and a rack. However, it's color matched for a silver sky metallic Tundra. Mine is phantom gray. Also, the step bars make no sense. There are 2 steps at the front doors and they hang down too low.

I took off the step bars. I really like the look of the N-Fab's with the drop steps, but I can't find anything like them for a 1st Gen access cab (only double cabs). If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.Screenshot_2018-06-22-00-25-47.jpg

So I've decided to change the wheels and tires. If anyone close by is interested in either, shoot me a PM and we'll work something out. I also dropped the camper top off to get sprayed with Line-X. Should be ready by the beginning of next week. Here she is without her top.

Obviously your truck so do what you like but IMO, I think the wheel/tire combo looks great. I wouldn't change it. Just my unsolicited $.02

I rolled the dice and got these wheels today. I couldn't find any pics of them with a phantom gray truck. I think they look pretty good. I kept the BFG mud terrains for now.Screenshot_2018-06-22-19-57-15.jpg

    Thanks.

I still need some cool step bars. My wife actually insisted when she got out of the truck today. The truck is deceptively high for a woman her size. Any help would be appreciated. All I'm finding are the factory style.

I'm going to change up the look of the fog lights tomorrow. I ran out of daylight.

I had to do the same thing for my ex wife and my 3 year old. I got some hoop style steps in the truck for them, but I have a 3rd gen. Never seen those on an access cab first gen.

Check out stubbswelding I believe is the guy. If I remember he's located in northern cal or southern oregon.
I've got his sliders on my truck.
Same model as yours minus the kickass wheels.

Edit: it is Stubbs welding. I've got the HD SKO model.

I think you and I have very similar tastes. Those are my 2 most favorite wheels that I have considered for my 4th gen 4runner. I like the FJ wheels better from a looks perspective but I like the color of the TRD wheels better. I've thought about getting some FJ wheel and having them powder coated but I don't like the offset of them on the 4runner and don't want to run wheel spacers.

I had never seen these gray wheels in person (just the black). I really did take a gamble when I ordered them at the dealership, but I dig them.

Thanks for all the comments and welcomes.

I did a small mod today. I doubt it will suit the taste of many people, but I love it.

Reminds me of the old school PIAA fog lights I had when I was younger. Also added some color to all the gray I have going on.

Yes. It was just a peel and stick application. Ordered those from a company called Lamin-x.

Sweet. I swapped in some 3k leds in the fogs but this film definitely adds some nice color to the front end. Might have to try it out.

Could you possibly take a pic of the output at night?
