It's gonna be a rough season for us here in NM. This is the fifth fire of the season already with two of them 35,000+ acres. Definitely scary when it's close to home though

Yep - I hope we start getting some more moisture. It has been severely dry. Definitely brings back some memories from previous monster fire seasons. It is sad that we call summer "fire season".

I hope that all you guys and gals out west stay safe and are not touched by these fires! Thankful that I don't have that to deal with it.

Thats alittle close for comfort. Very glad to hear about the steady rain. Hopefully the steady rain will soften the ground for it to absorb the water and not flood everything.

Fire has been holding steady at around 500 acres. 30% contained. I guess that a couple of firefighters were injured yesterday in a falling tree incident. Both were treated and released.

The weather forecast does not look good - hot and dry.

I appreciate all of those folks up there working their backsides off trying to contain this thing.
