So the other day I’m wheeling in the dunes around my place. You have to drive a long way on big pit run. I wasn’t worried about denting a rim cause I was crawling. I depressured my tires to 20 psi front, 15 rear. This is what felt smooth.

What psi should I be worried about loosing a bead on my wheels? The trail in and out is very tight and lots of edge tire rubbing.

I want bead locks annnd on board air at some point but it’s not in the budget currently.

Good question. I don't know but I often run 18 front and rear off road. OBA is so convenient. I see most people with ARB or Viair but there are some others out there like Smittybilt that are considerably cheaper.

My brother used to air down to 8 psi at pismo in his 81’. I was always to scared and went to about 15psi and still got stuck.

I would stay above single digits without beadlocks. It depends on how fast you're driving and how quickly you turn also.

Thanks. It seemed pretty good. I guess I’m ok to run where I was then.
