CUSTOM LED BACKLIT TOYOTA EMBLEM

Custom LED backlit Toyota emblem w/wiring harness. Fits 3rd Gen SR5/1794 grills. Painted magnetic grey metallic and backlit red. Shipping is $8. I make these in other colors if interested.

I’m guessing that’s for the front of the truck? If so, red is illegal. Only cops can have a forward facing red light. Fyi. Looks cool tho

Yeah it is illegal so I would hook it up to a toggle switch so I could turn on and off as needed.

It's cool! Have you thought about other colors for the back light? As red would not be a color that could be on while driving down the road. Maybe an RGB light with controls, so that people could change the color.

 

Red white or blue.

 

Can you show the back of this emblem with the LED lights?

 

In Texas, of those three the only color that I know of that an be on while driving is white. You can run other colors, but not red or blue.

 

I like the blue better than the red.

I can remember back in my ricer days that these were a thing with the indiglo emblems. What's odd is that what was once considered rice is now OEM (GMC, Mercedes, Infiniti, etc.)

 

Yep you would get pulled over right away with those colors over here. And maybe even worse these days.

 

I’m still rocking one of these and it’s holding up well. I had a prior one that was one of the first made and the white LEDs turned yellow over time and most of the LEDs failed. @Sting Ray changed LED vendors and the new LEDs are holding up well.

 

You would definitely be pulled out and beaten for this. Record the police. Always record the police

I've run all three colors in back-lit mode on my 20" in front of several LEOs and no issues so far.

What is this backlit mode you speak of??

 

Some lights have a back-lit feature where the housing lights up but the actually bar ltself is off. Rigid has a full line of them.

 

You know what could prevent a person from being pulled over and "beaten" by the police and then having to record everything? Not doing stupid sh*t do get themselves pulled over, like adding illegal lights to the front of a vehicle..

 

So essentially you're saying don't put illegal lights on your vehicle if you don't want to get pulled over and possibly beaten by the police? Brilliant
