    Hello everyone,

I am wondering if anyone daily’s a dc long bed, what made you pick it up? Are there times where you regret it, like finding parking? Or is it not much of a hassle?

There’s one on the market within my price point. Oddly enough the cc is a couple grand more while regular bed dc is 3-5k more. I would like the extra bed space, but come September I will also be parking at uni a few days of the week. Idk what the standard parking size is where I go as it’s an hour away and haven’t went to check. But on average parking spaces are 16-18 feet. With the Tundra being 20.x (can’t recall exactly)

I’d love to hear some first hand thoughts from people who’ve used different ones. The truck I sometimes drive now, belongs to the contractor I shadow, is a Silverado cc 6.6 bed. The Tundra is about 10 inches longer. Would that really make the difference?

Not that mileage should matter but the long bed is 250 km, while the others are about 300. So it’s confusing as to why they are priced higher ... the cc maybe but why the regular bed dc is most expensive seems odd to me, am I missing something?

Thanks in advance for your input everyone!

I have a crewmax double cab with 5. Whatever foot bed. It is pretty long and I have never regretted not having a longer bed. Do you need the long bed?

Not the 8' bed I don't think, but pricing for them around me makes them the most affordable with 25,000km per year avg. Whereas the CrewMax is about 3 grand more and the DC with 6' 6" is about 5 grand more.

So I wanted to know if anyone has experience with dailying that behemoth and what it's like. I ended up finding a decently priced DoubleCab with only a single owner. It's quite far away at about 250 km from me, I'm taking the trip tomorrow to give it a look. Fingers crossed.

But to answer your question the 6.5 would be good, the bed on the CrewCab is way too short for me - I also won't be driving more than one person, if I do it'll be short 45 min drive at most. And I want the DC instead of Regular so I can put my expensive drills and saws in and lock them. With tinted windows people won't be able to tell if there is stuff or it's an empty truck, I hope.

    Thanks for your feeback e30!
