I can second this, iHacker's customer service is awesome. I'd highly recommend getting his harness.

I think between @Roman and @iHacker you can save about $100 and that's before adding shipping from the website you have listed

I agree - I ordered the 2018 color matched grill, bulge, and headlights from Roman - then the harness from iHacker - he helped along with forum members during the install. I would highly recommend this route as the others have mentioned.

LOL WHAT? are you employed by them?
because I know that every time I use TRS, for anything, it ends up being a severe disappointment. I'm a slow learner, so I've gone through this a number of times. TRS spends a lot of time in marketing, and forum hype of what ultimately amounts to being Chinese junk.

On Rennlist there was a post made for fitting 911 retrofits by a "user" who was essentially run out of the forum since it was determined the guy was selling the product or an employee of TRS skirting forum sponsorship. I'd never install any TRS product on my 911, or any other vehicle. In fact, I bought two headlight harnesses from iHacker just so I could dispose of the crappy TRS relay that was required for version 1.0.

enjoy your 60 day warranty though HAHA

Not a 'moot point'. Buy a Toyota part from a Toyota dealer, not a 3rd party.

How does TRS handle the warranty on these headlights specifically? Do you handle the warranty in house? For example, some LED's in the headlight die after 2 years, please elaborate on the warranty process since these are OEM Toyota headlights that only carry a 1 year/12k mile warranty from Toyota directly.

It is not irrelevant, I'm sure they will charge shipping for the new headlgiht to TRS and the warrantied headlight back to the customer, which based on the estimate would be $80 per headlight for a round trip...

No personal issues, just experience with their products over 3 vehicles. In each application, some part from TRS has failed, or become defective within 1 to 3 years. If TRS's crap breaks after a year or two, it's my problem not theirs. I accept that I made poor choices, learn from it and try to help the community.

is @motopowers representing TRS in some capacity here? or maybe he's just a satisfied customer ;)

Not sure why you are so defensive, you seem to attack everyone on this forum that disagrees with TRS. Simply put, TRS did not have the best price, and the extra shipping made them higher price than multiple vendors on here and locally (dealerships).

If he is an employee then he is showing poor PR, as he is very snarky and not very professional. His answer to my comment is a prime example.

based on my experience with TRS, I may be out of a headlight too. Not the first time I have been shafted by TRS warranty.

So do you represent TRS or are you a cheerleader?

Just to clarify, Toyota parts warranty on any Toyota part is one year from the date of purchase, unlimited mileage. No shipping involved or any down time, because if they do fail, you can take them to your local dealership and swap them out.

Or any dealer if I was out of town for work and if one we're to fail? Along with receipt of purchase from you?

I also got my headlights for ~$600 and the Platinum/1794 harness from iHacker.

My local dealer even offered to sell the headlights to me cheaper than TRS has with shipping, but buying them from Roman was cheaper than everyone I've seen. Sparks was more due to shipping from the East coast to the midwest.

That is correct. Any dealer in the US and Canada. Just take the receipt from where you purchased from me and the part, and they'll swap it out.

Roman, I didn't get mine from you, sorry o_O, but I know Sparks is also a Toyota dealership. Does the same count for them, if there is a problem I can take them to any Toyota dealership within the year?

Hey, it's all good. JUST DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN.

    Kidding, just kidding. :D

And yes, the same applies for every Toyota dealership. Any part purchased from a Toyota dealer that fails within a year can be replaced under the parts warranty by any dealer in the US and Canada.

Exactly, the set from Roman will be ~$600 to your door (in like 2 days), plus iHackers harness ~$125 ish, still coming out cheaper. Added bonus; buying the parts directly from the dealer, and the harness directly from someone who stands by their product and customers. iHacker is likely to be using higher quality components as well. (I can't back that up since I don't care to see the TRS harness for this particular application, just going off prior experience)

If you buy from TRS I would suggest buying 'extras'... maybe an extra harness, or relay, or whatever else you need and keep them in the truck. I will never forget driving around with one headlight while negotiating with TRS for parts to be exchanged, replaced, or just re-ordered them myself to not have to interact with them.
