MAXTRAX is the lightweight, easy-to-use vehicle recovery and extraction device that’s easily carried by almost anything with four-wheels ensuring an easy way out if your vehicle becomes stuck. MAXTRAX takes the drama out of getting stuck. The aggressive large cleats on MAXTRAX sink their teeth into the tire tread and the terrain under your 4WD vehicle to prevent it from slipping back into mud, snow, or sand and make vehicle recovery quick and easy.

MAXTRAX is the perfect fit for every outing. Measuring just 45 inches long X 13 inches wide, each set of MAXTRAX stacks together at a height of just 3.5 inches. MAXTRAX stows easily with the rest of your car camping, overlanding, or four-wheel drive gear. MAXTRAX is also easy to carry! MAXTRAX have six comfortable built-in handles and a shovel at either end for removing excess earth to help get you unstuck quicker. They also have exclusive keyhole accessory points to allow you to securely mount your MAXTRAX.

Made of UV-stabilized, flexible, super tough engineering-grade reinforced nylon, MAXTRAX provides traction and a firm base to get your vehicle quickly back on track. They have been tested at the University of Queensland to wrap completely around a 33-inch tire without breaking.

    Here is my setup:

Only running two maxtrax right now, but considering adding another two. Super easy to put on and off with the Front Runner Outfitters Mounting Kit. Ran a cable lock through and around my crossbars to help prevent theft. Not too worried since it sits in the garage mostly.

Only ONE TIME have I gone out without them (BD was using the company ones at the time)... and it was with @TOTAL CHAOS who also left every single set back at the shop. The plan was to do some minor wheeling and get some photos at Crowley Lake... Ended up burying the FJ, Tacoma, and Tundra

Now most TOTAL CHAOS shop vehicles keep sets mounted, locked, and ready to rock.

You can see 3 vehicles with them below. Platinum Tundra and Morocco Taco have some mounted in the bed, but you can't see them from this angle

    MAXTRAX Mounting Accessories
    https://us.maxtrax.com.au/product-category/mountingaccessories/

Have a rear mounted spare tire that you want to mount MAXTRAX to? Looking to lock your MAXTRAX to your roof rack our mounting surface? We offer two mounting accessories on our site geared to aid in securing your MAXTRAX.

    MAXTRAX - Rear Wheel Harness
    [IMG]
The MAXTRAX Rear Wheel Harness lets you safely and securely carry your MAXTRAX on your vehicle’s rear-mounted spare tire. Quick and simple to install, the harness makes it easy to quickly grab your MAXTRAX when you need them in a hurry and means you can carry dirty ones without dropping sand, mud or snow in or on your vehicle.

The harness will carry up to 5 MAXTRAX (or 4 really dirty ones that won’t stack together neatly) and includes a pouch to hold your fixing pegs and linking straps.

*PLEASE NOTE: The MAXTRAX Rear Wheel Harness is designed to suit vehicles where there is easy access behind the spare wheel mount, typically with an aftermarket swing away carrier or rear bar such as Kaymar. * Designed for MAXTRAX MKII only. (MAXTRAX NOT INCLUDED).
    AVAILABLE HERE

    MAXTRAX - Mounting Pin Set
    [IMG]
Genuine MAXTRAX Mounting Pins are the easiest, safest, and most secure mounting solution for putting your MAXTRAX on a roof rack or cross-bars. Constructed from high-quality black nylon and stainless steel, these quick-release pins can hold one or two sets of MAXTRAX (2 or 4 boards).

Top roof rack manufacturers, including Rhino Rack, Eezi-Awn, Front Runner, and more, make a reciprocal bracket that allows for a bolt-on roof rack mounting solution.

Designed exclusively for MAXTRAX MKII—these cannot be used with any other brands.

How do you get a single maxtrax mount? My wife gave me a pair of maxtrax for fathers day. I purchased a set of mounts. One mount the bolt went halfway down and then stopped. I can't get the bolt off. I am going to have to cut the bolt off and the mount is now bent from me trying to get it off. The other three went on easy, it was one that I have a problem with.

Max Trax. Great product. Have 2, about to buy 2 more. Had a custom rack made to hold 4. A must have for our trips.

My son had a local metal company fab a rack from a drawing and measurements of his 4 Maxtrax’s for a swing arm. I just bolted mine on my camper, added the straps and it was pretty easy. Handy when I need them. As of now, I’m able to hold my shovel as well.
