Hey fellas, I'm looking into purchasing some new wheels and have a bolt pattern question. I know the 2018 Tundra has the 5x150mm pattern, but when browsing wheels on websites there is the 5x150mm/5.5" option. Can someone explain what the difference is? Can I purchase a wheels that are 5x150mm/5.5"? Thanks!

One thing for sure, you will want to stick with a 5x150 bolt pattern. The 5.5" might be referencing the backspacing for that specific bolt pattern. That's just my guess with the limited info provided.

5x150mm / 5.5 means the wheel has dual lug patterns, both 5x150mm and 5x5.5inch
A picture of the wheel should show 10 lug holes

i.e., 5 x 5" is only 127 mm so I'd steer clear and chalk this up to poor rounding of numbers.

im goin with SCS on this one. depending on the width of the wheel, and the offset, its going to change the backspacing. but if @sdde4n is correct, id DEF look another direction.

I'm finding there's not a lot out there for 17" with our bolt pattern. SCS has one or two, but not the one I want (Stealth). Method doesn't offer their Roost in 17" with 5 x 150mm either. Someone please tell me I'm wrong, because I need (want) 17s.

What don't you like about 0 offset? Just a look thing, or is it rubbing?

5X5.5 is Dodge Ram 1500 lug pattern. Most of the brands you see outside of Icon, Method, SCS, Volk will run a "dual pattern"

Generally its a XD, Fuel , Hostile , Mickey Thompson, etc

true.. offset and backspacing play a role in it...+25 should be minimum offset I think...if im wording that correctly..but all your big brands that we run offer that..scs,method,icon...

Thanks, guys. Good call on the fit, @nishibot . I have read a couple guys say the balancing weights need to be placed just right for 17s to work.

This is very true. I had to find a specific tire shop in my area because they had the correct height weights and had to place them in just the right places to get them to balance.
