    So I just thought I'd throw this out there, but you've probably heard of Mardi Gras. The thought of New Orleans and lights, floats and parades comes to mind. Well, the REAL Mardi Gras and traditions within were actually experienced this past February, by Anthony Bourdain. If you have any desire to learn about the Lousiana culture tune into CNN tonight at 8pm CST to see a new Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown about the cajun Mardi Gras from a little town in Louisiana called Mamou! I share this because it's where a bunch of my family is from, and i think it's a big deal.

    New Orleans is a great time, big city, plan 3 or 4 days, just so you can eat everywhere. This particular episode, is the cajun side of life. It's a completely different celebration than what you get in the big city.

    I also have family in Mamou, Little Mamou and Eunice and the Mardi Gras up there is completely different from what is in N'Awlins.
