    Bull bar.
I’m looking for one. Subtle, if that’s even a thing.
Suggestions, or suggestions and pics if you’re rocking one.

    Gratzi.

Check out my build thread. First post I believe. Westin Ultimate Bull Bar. Evil chrome but black available. Best built bull bar IMHO if you want to go that route.."first".

See, I’m kinda in the fence. That’s why I’m looking for one that’s not huge or stick up or out too far. I just feel like the front of the truck needs a little something something.

    Why do you vote no?

Just personal preference. I think they are hideous and such a Dodge thing to do. I would just go with an aftermarket bumper.

I like the bull bars. LiED Lite bar fit just right. Had one on mine until I hit a deer and replaced the entire front bumper with a aftermarket

I live in deer country. My son hit a deer broadside in his 2008 and it bashed up the front pretty good, wrecking the bumper and all the brackets not to mention the fog lights.

In Australia they call them "roo bars" since there is a real danger of whacking a kangaroo when driving, especially at night. These "roo bars" are pretty substantial and many (if not most) vehicles have them.

I very much want an effective bull bar, some are not strong enough though.

I like that one. Do you have to remove your tow hooks?
I'm looking for one that I can keep the tow hooks on.

To be honest not only are bull bars hideous but they aren't functional. They are light mounts at best. I wouldn't trust a bull bar to go up against a deer or a kangaroo. If this was a real danger in the area where I lived I would invest in a full armour bumper. Bull bars only cover the very front of the bumper and maybe some of the grille. Hitting a deer with a bull bar isn't going to save your fogs and most of the front area.

I have the lund with the built in light bar. Does not interfere with the front parking sensors and able to keep the tow hooks.
