Don't ask me how I know this, but whatever you do, don't use carpet adhesive remover to remove your badges.

It takes the paint off down to the bare metal.

Dang, I wish I knew about the Whizzy-Wheel when I did my truck.

yeah I made sure to read reviews first. the wheel is like a big eraser. no damage to paint whastoever. finish it with citrus based adhesive remover then claybar, wax, buffing.
front passenger badge left a bit of a shadow but not very noticeable. Might hit it with a buffer machine. bed stickers didn't leave any traces.

Alright boys, the moment has come! Here is the reveal, of the Almost finished, “Blue Line Edition”! In Honor of all my Brothers and Sisters in Law Enforcement all over the country.
I still have a few small details to add(reflective blue Pinstriping, subdued flags, and extra lights, but I couldn’t hold back any longer!
    Stay Safe Y’all!
First pic is day of purchase.

Here we have present day! Waiting on my wife to get back into town so I can get it to the detail shop!
    EADE13CF-1A2A-4563-B8E9-3E83152D9D9A.jpg
Here is the detail on the Warrior wheels I’ve been working on! The goobers at the tire Shop burnt the paint when installed the lugs.
    63221AFF-4D1B-42D4-B35E-EC320AF25553.jpg
And my LED lights! I’m bothered that these aren’t well controlled in these reflector housings, and will adjust my light alignment to turn them down from blinding oncoming traffic. I will replace the headlights someday, with proper projectors and get the LEDs under control!

Well, It's out.... The stock skid has been broken for over a year. It's been hanging down and I'm sure flapping in the wind...

New Skid is 3/4 in. unfortunately the bolt on the frame side in the front snapped off almost immediately. I'm going to drill out the hole tomorrow, and put a nut and washer on the top.

    and an oil change.

This wasn't quite how I pictured today going.

My wife seems to have those "oops" moments while in my truck so I ordered a set of Marathon covers. They went on easily with great fit and finish, marathon called me a few times to check my order, awesome company. I couldn't be happier.

Just installed a trd rear sway bar and replaced rear shocks with bilsteins 5160s. Took me 45 mins on the sway bar and a lot longer on the shocks! First time ever doing anything like that but lessons learned and good advice here on the site got me through it. Hardest part was muscling up the shocks and putting the bolt through myself. Would have been nice to have a extra set of hands but I’ll order those when I do the fronts!

New synthetic winch rope with powder coated hook & D rings for my trip down to the Lower 48. My truck and trailer got "washed" in the heavy rain on the way through Teslin, Yukon yesterday. Looks way cleaner than it did after all of the road construction through Alaska.Teslin .jpg Teslin 2.jpg Telin 3.jpg

    Hi All,

I had my complete kit Power stop z36 brake kit installed today. 2008 Tundra 5.7 4x4 extended cab, long box. I had the work done at a shop that I know and trust.

After the lines were bled, the techs (and I) noticed that the brake pedal is squishy...meaning there is much more play in the brake pedal now. Honestly this is the first time I have changed the brakes (only 71k miles).

We are all scratching our heads over this. The are confident that all the air is out of the lines...I watched them bleed all 4...but there is still a lot of play in the pedal.

Is this normal? Assuming it is not, any thoughts on how to remedy the issue?

    Thanks.

Had that issue before and with the abs pump and such that method doesn’t always work like it use to. I would get it pressure bleed. They take the reservoir cap off put anther cap on that pressureizes the system and also has a fluid line that draws new brake fluid in and then they crack the bleeders one at a time and let them run for a bit that may help

Did a lot recently, just haven't gotten the chance to post it, Replaced all the turn signals with LEDS, and the reverse and 3rd brake light with LEDS. Replaced all interior dome lights with LEDS, and did the footwell LEDs. Installed the underhood LED System with KC Cyclone lights and finally installed my Touchscreen stereo with back up camera.

Lift is almost complete. Bilstein 6112s installed up front on the top setting. Camburg 1.5" rear shackles installed. All the alignment bolts are seized up, so I've got new LCAs and outer Tie Rod Ends on order. Since I have to do all that, I went ahead and ordered some Camburg Uni-Ball UCAs too. All of that will go on, and get aligned by Wednesday the 20th.

What brand LED's did you go with for the brake lights and turn signals?

I really want to make this upgrade.

    Thanks.

These were the reverse and third brake light
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00S1OD8EM/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_t1_OTCjBbDB2PXX8

These were the turns signals. These did cause hyperflashing but if you refer to the guide on LED turn signals on the mods and tutorials page, it's a easy fix to add a resistor in to cure the hyper flash
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EC3XUBG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdo_t1_2UCjBbZ7DEAZ3

Besides the resistors, this upgrade was very easy and honestly took just a few minutes

Installed some coachbuilder bumper shims to extend the front bumper half an inch. This should take care of some slight rubbing. Also installed a 6 button touchscreen panel for powering accessories. I placed it over the worthless change tray in front of the shifter.

My good friend’s 79y old dad got a new to him 2013 DC. He’s not really techy to be on a forum, so I thought I’d share his new ride. It’s got a Lexus leather steering wheel, tow mirrors, P3 brake controller, Helwig helper springs, rear underseat storage, a larger gas tank and a few other after stock mods. He absolutely loves it!
