    Thank you! We are loving it so far. The Batwing Awning / Canopy was great, but i was reluctant to leave it up when the wind really picked up. Seemed stable when it was staked down, but didn't want it to break and we did have tree cover at this particular site so it wasn't really an issue. Setup is quick and easy and everyone who has seen it has been really impressed with the design.

    These were 40 dollar LED bulbs from Amazon so i wasn't really surprised. Some people might have better luck with a higher quality LED bulb, but ultimately the halogen housing is not meant for LEDs so i placed an order with Roman / Cool Springs Toyota for the real deal OEM LED Housings

    Nice rig. I’m planning to get this canopy, but will need a garage with an 8’ door first, lol

    You may need closer to an 8' door with your lift/tires/etc, but at stock height (my fender well is 38.5ish off the ground) the top of my awning is just about 81" off the ground (just measured (twice) based on your comment). I did mount the awning in the "lower" position (its a 90degree angle that comes off the rhino rack and it can either go UP or DOWN. I mounted it DOWN and i still have enough clearance to open the rear doors on the cab without issue. I'm only 5'9" though, so if you are taller you may want it mounted UP (above) the cross bar.

    @DeesCrewMax
    I’m barely able to slip into my garage now, with the towers and bars removed from the rack. So even mounted below the bars it would not fit. If you have a chance, I would love to see some more pictures of your rack and canopy, both in the stowed and extended position. We’re leaving (permanently) for Oregon in a few weeks and I believe the canopy will be a perfect accessory for mushroom hunting

    Lookin' good! Do you have any pics of how far you Vortex bars stick out from your canopy? I'm debating between the 59" and 65" myself...

    Edit: Never mind, I just didn't look down far enough in your post! Looks like those 59" bars fit well.

    I will try to get some additional pics later today of the rack/canopy as it sits as another user requested so maybe those will be of additional help to you. The 59" bars are pretty close to the width of the truck at the TOP, but certainly narrower than the widest part of the truck. Initially i felt i had gone too narrow, but i think it really depends on which attachments you plan to use with it. My SUP carrier extends beyond the edge of the cross bars (the mounts are not on the outermost edge of the attachment so it extends out a few inches) and the Batwing awning/canopy also lives beyond the width of the rack. I think if i had gone 65" it might be a bit wide. However with my SUP rack + Yakima box + awning i don't have much additional room for anything like a roadshower or mounting tractionboards or whatever. I'll try to get some pics up that show the width with my attachments incase that helps anyone make the decision.

    For what its worth, my subaru had Vortex bars on it and the car was totaled in a hail storm last may. The rack emerged unscathed from the battle and was used on another vehicle for the past 10 months without issue. I'm a big fan of Rhino products at this point and especially the 2500 Vortex bars.

    Thanks, I appreciate it. But yeah, the Rhino stuff looks pretty solid, and it's relatively cheap compared to a similar setup from Thule or Yakima. After you add all the feet, towers, crossbars, and lock cylinders you're well over $500 from those guys...
