850E9610-821B-4D4F-B512-29B5E6EF6A77.jpg I dipped mine. I dipped them while they were on the truck. Just do a lot of coats and it will last long. Mines going two years strong.

Have to get all the tape off the back side and melt or drill out the plastic rivets. I still have the ones off of my black truck laying here. image.jpgimage.jpg

Ellis_McPickle - what did you use to protect the truck around the emblem when plasti dipping? I see the paper towel and painters tape but the material surrounding the emblem? I just bought a white 2020 Platinum and want to do the same as you. Looks amazing.

The plasti dip doesn't stick to the paint? Thats amazing, I was going to remove all my chrome emblems today and get them painted. If I dont need to remove them, then I'll for sure do this project today! Any specific plasti dip sprays that you might suggest work better than others, or is it just all about multiple coats?

It does stick to paint but it is a peelable spray so if you have enough coats of plastidip it should peel off anything. Go search for dipyourcar on YouTube. He has many videos of him teaching you how to dip emblems, wheels, cars, just about anything.

I still can't believe that a black platinum badge isn't available. Looks like I'll by trying the plastidip solution as well.

The previous posters nailed it. I was very pleased with how easy and forgivable the Plasti Dip was. One question though...

Does this stuff ever harden? Even 36 hours after applying it, my badges are still slightly tacky/rubbery. Does it eventually develop more of a plastic texture or is it always more like rubber?
