So I pulled the trigger on the eBay special. I’m gonna paint it myself, starting to wonder if I should paint it all silver sky or leave the inner part black like the pros......decisions decisions. Hopefully the fitment is decent. I’ll keep everyone posted.

I like the color matched insert. Quick Google search will give you a pic with silver sky and it's bad ass

I hear ya man. Might wanna get it done by a pro shop to be sure to get it right. Unless you have painting experience that is

Yes I paint cars for a living. Travel to dealerships and do spot repair/blending along with wet sanding, buffing, touching up chips. So I think I have a decent grasp on it lol.

Finally got around to painting 2/3 of my fo pro grille. Waiting on the hood bulge, should be here next week then I’ll paint it and put it on. Overall fitment is good, seems to be good quality plastic, not flimsy at all. Not too bad for the price!

@MakMurph how is your eBay pro grille holding up? I'm thinking about getting one. Nice rig!

Actually holding up great, minus a few rock chips in my paint job. That’s to be expected since I average 20-25,000 miles a year lol!

Question for you, did you observe if the insert can be removed? I already have color matched surrounds.

Yes it can be removed with a lot of patience. There are tabs all around the inside that can be pushed out to separate. I believe there’s directions on the forum somewhere, sorry to be so vague lol

Yes. I expect tabs broken. :) I just wanted to make sure that the China made ones were not moulded in one piece which would make it impossible to separate. Thanks!

You also have 3 screws per letter that I had to install on mine lol obviously not a big deal!

Cool! As long as they come with the letters not like the one in their pics. :)
