    2018 Tundra Crew Max Platinum
    Hi All,
I just traded my 2016 Sequoia Platinum edition (with only 14000 miles on it) for a 2018 Tundra Crew max. The Sequoia is a great ride, clearly a great vehicle but I can't stand being without a truck.

I have a 120 lb. German Shepherd and he was spoiled rotten in the Sequoia because I had all the seats folded down and everything behind the drivers seat was his when we traveled. We pull a travel trailer so everything except our dog goes in the trailer.

I am looking for ideas on something I can build or buy that will make the floor behind the front seats perfectly flat. I will keep the rear seats folded up most of the time. Any ideas or leads on products you have found is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

    Welcome from Colorado.

You need a BFH to make the floor flat.

Or, get a soft topper, and he has the whole bed to himself. My dogs loved the soft topper.

Thanks much but no way will he ride in the bed. We've spoiled him rotten plus I'd have extreme anxiety over the whole thing. I can't even go to the bathroom without him coming along. What's a BFH?

I would look at what COMiamifan posted.

My pets don’t ride in my cab. No way in hell, especially if not restrained.

I just put an XL Barksbar pet seat cover over the back seat of my DC. You can set it up as a hammock-style too (attached to the front seats as well).

A little of this and a little of that.

Looks like it’ll do the trick. Welcome from Las Vegas....

If it was me, I'd make some kind of steps out of 2x4s and plywood that you can place in the footwell part that would level it with the hump part. Couldn't be that hard to cut the 2x4 to the correct shape then plywood on top. Done.

I bought a 5x4’ horse stall mat at Tractor Supply Co and cut about five square pieces the dimension of the footwell to stack up and make the back portion level so my dogs soft crate can go back there without rocking. My (almost 5 YO) yellow lab fits perfect behind the seat in his soft crate. We have family about 3 hours away, so this is how he travels with my wife and I. I even use this method to haul him around during hunting season. He doesn’t mind it one bit, especially with the back two vents pointing at him. Let me know if you’d like pictures to help illustrate what I’m talking about.

i think @TomyTun idea is the best one here to stack mats, they are solid.

i bought a double cab for the sole reason of the flattish rear floor. removed the rear seats completely to make room for my 80 pound collie.
I tried the device shown in the second photo of post #4 in a sedan and it was awful. it was also really dangerous for the dog too who could have broken a leg slipping through gap in the front.

FYI, this is why Ford hypes the F150 rear cab as a legit FLAT FLOOR, because it makes sense.

So solid it’s a b***** to cut with a razor blade, took me about 1.5 hours to make my squares. When I pick up all five, they’re a heavy SOB. But they’re solid and have a litttttlllle give and bend to them. The mat itself is probably half inch thick.

Next time, make the cuts with the rubber submerged in water. Cuts easier.

Thanks everybody, keep the ideas comming. I think just cutting half inch plywood and giving it some nice contours, cover with automotive carpeting or rubber will do the trick. I can support it in the wheel wells and trans hump with some PVC sections or something. I also will make it in 2 sections to align with the 60/40 rear seats. I'd still like ideas. THANKS!
