All in one kit. Still trying different products to see what I like best and what works.

One ounce of Reload, one ounce of Ech20, and ten ounces of distilled water. Haven’t found an off the shelf product that’s even close to how good it is. Those two products on their own are the very best I’ve tried so far in their categories also. @SouthBoundSteve turned me on to those, and the mixture early on in my learning.

Haha...I notice the Amazon box in the background. I could build a pretty sweet fort if I’d saved all of mine. Been thinking about getting a cart like that. Is that a hamper for your towels on the side?

I order way to much from Amazon. Lol
The cart is pretty nice works ok for my needs. It was only $35 bucks on Amazon. The only downside is it dosen't have locking wheels. Something i overlooked when buying it. The bag on the side is a hamper i got from Amazon as well. Its a little long it drags a tiny bit when full. But really pleased with how sleek it is.

I should definitely look into a cart. I do spend too much time walking back and forth.

Definitely worth it. Got mine for Christmas last year. Went with a (luxor) plastic one for easy clean up and avoidance of any rust issues....plastic peg board is available at Home Depot...made by a company called Everbilt

I keep all my liquids/polishes/compounds/DA's/pads stored in two cabinets. Gallons in a separate cabinet. And towels and brushes organized in totes to keep clean.

I use totes for my towels, and have a large cabinet for everything else. I got it on sale a few months back for I think $150.00:

Have any of you noticed product evaporating from the heat in your garage? I haven’t seen that it’s happening for sure, but there’s been a few times I had less in a bottle than I thought. I’m sure it has to happen somewhat, but not sure how concerned I should be.

Both lists are a good place to start. I guess my next question is what order do you apply waxes and how often? I have CG swirl remover, Butter Wax and the JetSeal. Would I use all 3 in that order? I don't know much about how and what to apply. :anonymous:

Unless you have a DA polisher, removing swirls will be a little difficult. It can be done, but your results will be considerably better if you have a machine. Chemical Guys does sell some HexLogic hand pads in a 3-pack i believe, which would be good for you to purchase if you're trying to get rid of some swirls. I'm guessing you bought some VSS?

After washing, then claying your paint, you'd attack the swirls next. Once satisfied with your results, apply JetSeal and then the Butter Wet Wax. Butter Wet Wax does not have a reputation for lasting very long, and it's well deserved...it doesn't. The shine you get from it is awesome, however. I've been able to get 2-3 weeks out of it. Fortunately, the JetSeal will last longer.

    Yes, VSS.
Im not going to attempt this until I get polisher. I know it will be a lot of work. Any recommendation? Thank you for the help I really appreciate it.

A lot depends on your budget. As far as a polisher goes, I highly recommend the Griots Garage 6" DA, known as the GG6. There are other less expensive ones out there, as well as more expensive, but it's a great place to start. It's versatile, powerful, and comes with lifetime warranty, from a company that stands behind their products. I've had mine for 3 years, and it's handled everything I've thrown at it.

I didn’t think to check Harbor Freight for the carts. I know the ones we use at work run almost 300 bucks.

Thats where mine came from...those generic spray bottles you have hanging off the cart....is that a stick-on label or was it printed on them...looks like a good place to write whats in there

They are the Chemical Guys 32oz spray bottles. I used a label printer to identify what I have in each. I plan on doing some other ones seeing how those two turned out. I really don't like the sprayer bottles a lot of these chemicals come in, so I plan to transfer them to the CG bottles for a more consistent spray pattern.

Great idea on the label maker. I use a sharpie, but they tend to rub off.
