Hi guys! Long time lurker short time poster.
Just bought the bully dog magnusson tuner for my 2016 tundra 5.7 flex fuel with the trd supercharger kit installed.
The reflash went fine with no glitches. I updated online and then select the flex fuel s/c option for tune as prompted by the tuner.
Went to fire it off and immediately set p0102 p1613 p1614 at idle. Drives in limp mode.... boo hoo...
Now my brain is wondering if my issues have something to do with the trd intake that came with the trd supercharger fit kit installed.
Is the air box lid that comes with the magnusson install kit a smaller bore diameter than the trd s/c kit?
It got dark shortly after that non momentus start up so ill double check for damaged or disconnected wires in the AM.

Called up bully dog and they have a file for me. Tried to update remotely but apparently we forgot to uninstall the existing tune. That gave us the 012 code and after everything we tried we have to send the unit back to bullydog. Oh well...

I got the tuner back from BD and air codes came back. The guys at BD think its electrical but the codes dont flag until it starts up. Not with the key on engine off.

So after all that, I give magnusson a call and order up their airbox lid. The told me that the with the flex fuel tune, the TRD and stock lid are incompatible with the BD flex S/C tune.

So I ordered a Magnuson fit kit lid and we shall see what happens to those AIR codes. The codes seem to be a performance/function code and the fact I was flagging a P0102 after a minute of runtime points to a MAF mismatch.

I find it strange that BD didnt have any notes that specify imcompatibilty. Perhaps they work on the assumption that only Magnuson complete kits are being put on.

I pieced my supercharger setup together 2nd hand and have about 2800 into it so far. Even with the headaches, it beats the.full retail price of entry.

So as a follow up I will announce I found out what was wrong. It wasn't the airbox causing the codes, it was me.
All of the connectors from magnuson/TRD were fine. I sat back and thought for a second, lets check the fuses and I found one blown, Inj2 10 amp.
I consider myself pretty adept at making my own harnesses and understanding schematic diagrams. Unfortunately, I failed to identify the correct control circuit ground side of the flex fuel relay and inadvertently shorted out the PCM side of the fuel pump control circuit. That blew the 10 amp Inj 2 fuse, the first time I revved the motor and hit 2 psi. I had wired in a 2 psi pressure switch and weather proof connector I acquired from McMaster-Carr. It was light years better that what I could of bought off the shelf. So all in all with this experience, my hubris got the best of me.

I replaced the blown fuse and adjusted my pressure switch ground circuit connection. The truck started fine with no distress messages or CEL. I jumped the pressure switch to test the function and I could feel hear the flex fuel relay clicking on/off.

One question, Is there a pid value on torque pro or dashcommand to verify that the pump is going to high speed/volume mode? Watching the 02 sensors is a lost cause. I feel the only solution is going to be installing a wideband o2 sensor to verify mixtures under heavy throttle.

The TRD supercharger airbox MAF diameter looks to be the same size but I will be keeping the Magnusson airbox on the truck as that was how the truck was calibrated with the bully dog. I'm also going to keep the OEM air filter (07-13 sized) installed as the TRD high flow airfilter is a a bad juju for keeping dust out. I'm in the Colorado and I encounter lots and lots of dust on back roads.

Anyone interested in buying a TRD supercharger lid and intake connector? :)
