Not really on big boulders but there is a lot of bouncing on medium sized rocks where you might need them. D made it through with his steps on but he is higher than us. But if you’re careful you can get through wiffout sliders.

That is right, the trail is so easy even a 4x2 Tacoma can do it.

I think I pushed some logs around a little with my sliders,,,,, maybe.
As long as that 4x2 has a tow strap hooked to the front.....:D

If you want to get technical about it, yes the Tacoma had to be towed up the hill.
@BlueBottle I did this trail without sliders and ended up with a dent. A good driver should be able to get through just fine.

I think @BlueBottle might have a little more height than you had when you first went there?

I think Matt's dents came from the tree limbs and logs poking out after the flat, getting into La Porte.

Tinted my ditch lights yellow today. White lights are great when you’re in front but they’re pretty much useless in the dust.

And thanks to my bud @GodlessPro for the remote cover. Not really something I would buy so I’m really glad he gave it to me.

Glad you like the fob. Insert joke from @dcsleeper408 about me giving you some sement.

What did you use on the lights?

    You Bastrds!
I'm sure $200 steps will protect just as well as $1200 sliders...right? :homer:

Yup. He says it’s my UCAs. I think I need to torque them tighter. I’m just glad it’s not my rack or axles. So, the trip is on! You in Warren?

Swapped out both air filters today at 14k. Engine filter wasn’t bad but the cabin filter was filthy.

The kids have performances Wednesday and Thursday, I've gotta work Friday, but I think I'm good for Saturday and Sunday.

I recently cleaned my air filter but didn't change the cabin filter. It's still in the box and sliding around the backseat. Mine probably looks a lot like yours:eek:.

The cabin filter takes 1 min to change. Do it.

Lemme know what you come up with. The family might want to go and be dropped off to do a little backpacking. I could also take the trailer and leave it for them as a base camp?

Thanks for the encouragement. Changed the cabin air filter and seems like some mouse fuck got in there. Not too much damage, not even any droppings that I saw (working in the dark). I put a cotton ball with peppermint oil in there too just to deter the little effers. Found a couple leaves and small branches in there too.
