Just got some ditch lights installed and I’m getting more and more anxious about someone taking them right off my truck, especially in some areas I work in. What have you guys done to armor your investments?

I electrified my truck. High voltage, low amperage. All jokes aside, if they really want it, they will get it unfortunately.

    Bright pink truck nuts.
loctite, a locking washer, and a nylon nut. They may get em, but it's not gonna be easy. They may have to steal the entire hood unless they brought a sawzall

That's a good idea. The only problem is that they usually fuck up your shit before they realize it's too difficult and move on. It's sad that you can't have anything nice in this world without worrying about someone taking it.

Around here, LED light bars are common targets for theft. Alot of guys have taken to tack welding the nuts so you have to cut them off.

We've had a few customers replace the standard 3/8" mounting bolt with a 3/8" torx head bolt.

Install the 3/8" bolt (torx) and stainless mounting bracket onto the Ditch Light Bracket first. From there, install the light onto the mounting bracket using the BD security hardware.

It will be impossible to get a torx bit onto the bolt head without removing the light housing first. And with the BD security hardware you won't be able to remove the light housing from the mounting bracket. Make sense?

Thanks for running Baja Designs (BD) products!
