Ridalin version: need med-heavy duty rear shocks for 6” lift

Been a while since i’ve Posted up for some advice...still lurking around like a boss tho.

So, near 2 and some change years ago??...close to that anyway...and 28k miles back, I had the Peo-comp Stage II lift put on.

    Absolutely love it!

Those past 28k miles have been a touch rough however

Mucho wheeling in the High NM mountains, a NM to ME, 3300+ mike tow with a shade over 6000lb trailer, plus 900 in the bed on some ridiculous rough roads.

The truck’s first Maine winter. For those of you not familiar, the roads here should be the proving ground for ANY suspension system. If it can handle this BS for a year and survive, it’ll do well near anywhere.

Long story short: just removed the camper shell, and the pass rear shock exploded. Fluid everywhere.

Checking the other shocks, it looks like the front driver is leaking pretty decently as well

Will have the fronts replaced by Pro-Comp (they mail you new ones), but I’m kinda iffy on the MX-6 rears. There are times I may be hauling the tractor n trailer locally. Anyone out there running different shocks on a 6” lift with better results?

I really enjoyed the shocks on my FJ...super digging the set up on the Tundra.

    Advice?

My kings stock height have been going strong for over 2 years,no leaks no damages just high speed off-roading and some iffy whoops and took em like a champ. I haven’t towed or put any heavy loads on so yea......, for something heavy duty as yours maybe old man emu

Yeah. That’s what I was thinking too. Don’t care about the smooth ride so much. It’s a truck! Haha

Going to call PC tomorrow and see if they’ll warranty the shocks at least.

    Meanwhile...the search...continues

    So, follow up...

    A) I had the kit installed 1.5 yrs ago. (It’s been a crazy year, temporal distortion rolling strong)
    B) called Procomp this morning: totally under warranty. They were rather perplexed. Asked for photos. I obliged.

    Dudes mind was blown.

Should see 4 new shocks in a week or so.

Wooohooo. I had this same setup on my FJ for 4 yrs and a shade over 60k miles with zero issues.

Yeah, I was pretty surprised. Figured I'd get the run-around....

First thing the guy said was to go back to 4WheelParts where it was installed, walk-in, show them what's up and they'll handle it.

A great idea!! Except that 4WP was in El Paso, TX, and I now live in Maine.

He laughed, said no problem...send us the pics and your address. Done deal.

So, damn near 2 weeks and the shocks FINALLY arrived at the house—the CORRECT house.

TMG is the branch that handles PRoComp warranty parts, etc. Customer service was par, but after several phone calls and emails trying to explain to one of the reps that the shocks needed to come to Maine, they kept shipping to NM.

Started the replacement yesterday evening around 9pm. Figured I’d knock out the rears, as it shouldn’t have been more than an hour job on the shop floor to include jacking, tire removal and cleanup....

3 hours later I’m finally getting the second rear shock in. Thanks to 4 wheel parts, El Paso for completely $&@!$&@?! Up the pax side rear shock mount with the air tools...guess they used the “if it don’t fit, force it and use bigger hammers” technique getting the original lifted shocks on.

    What a PITA.

I’m hoping the coil overs are a lot smoother going today
