Giant Reign advance would be on my list of bikes to ride.

The 5010 and Bronsons look great. Way out of my price range though. They start at $4000 and go up from there. I'm planning a budget around $2500 Canadian pesos.

Looks great too, but again way out of my budget. $5700 CAD...

I'm totaly open to getting higher end hard tail rather than a low end FS if it's better bang for my buck. I've ridden hard tails my whole life even when I dabbled in DH time trials, so I have no real "need" for a FS.

Forgot to answer this. No, I don't have a fat bike yet. I kind of want one just so I can still ride during the long winters we have up here.

Might give a Stache 7 a ride just for S&Gs.
I rode one of these for 3 days on Arizona's South Mountain National trail among others. https://www.giant-bicycles.com/us/bikes-anthem
It may not have enough rake for you as it is an XC bike. I only went OTB 3 times. Honestly at $2500, to get a decent bike, you need to stay with a hard tail IMHO. A Stache 7 gives you a little cush with the 29+ tires and you can put some Minions DHF/DHRs on it. Honestly the rear hub is shit too. I put I9s on mine.

2018 Santa Cruz Jackal frame built up with 2019 Fox 831 fork, Industry 9 305 wheelset, a bunch of Deity parts etc. Today was my first ride on this bike and it was a ton of fun.

Wow, you all have some seriously nice hardware -- the two-wheeled kind.

This is what our family rides look like. Six-seat Tundra makes this possible:

2013 SC tundra, 2013 stumpjumper evo and 2013 transition tr450. All bought used.
They may be old 26” wheel junk, but I dont know any better so it works out well.

I have a 29er. Giving it to The Woman and picking up a 27.5 next season. 29 sucks imho.

Here at local trails, 32/18 or 19. Up in the N GA Mtns. I generally run a tooth lower, so 32-20. It’s hard no matter what but I love riding SS.

I also love my Kona Process, too....

Picked up a new ride today. Have always wanted a Pivot Trail 429 since riding one at a demo day. This is a 2018 Trail 429 Pro X01. It was a demo that got ridden once or twice, so I got a great deal on it. My Kona Process is off to a new home so this should be a great replacement. Now if it would ever dry out and stop raining!

I guess my Soundskins install and 2018 headlights will have to wait!
