Not looking for a lift, just would like a little more levelness to the truck. My truck is a pavement princess, it gets about 10k miles a year, probably won't put much bigger tires on, maybe a 275/70/18 so would really like to just do something that is reasonable price wise.

I've looked at the rough country spacer kit, which looks really nice on their website pics, but I also know alot of people on here are against spacers. I've also looked at just putting bilstein 5100's on the front....I'm not very knowledgeable on this stuff so looking for any advice.

I don't want to lift because I still have little ones that are in carseats, but would like a little more aggressive stance.

    Any advice....

Don't hesitate to explore the site a little bit, you'll see a lot of good info.

I have always ran stock suspension so I'm no expert, but if I were in your shoes I would do the 5100's.

There's nothing wrong with spacers if you use accordingly.

I leveled my tacoma with 5100s and I hated the way it rode after a few weeks, preloading the springs will result in a rougher ride. Not sure if shims or top plate spacers will do the same, but I think those limit down travel, which could make it ride rough as well. If you aren't afraid of spending money I'd get a coilover that gives and inch or 2 of lift or is adjustable and call it done. Buy once cry once.

Old Man EMU, Eibach, 6112's, Radflo or even an in-coil spacer. Your stance will change with more aggressive tires/wheels too.

5100 all around. Or 6112/5160 like I just did last month.

What is the difference between the 5100 and the 6112/5160 set up?

I like this idea. I've always lifted trucks but i think if i did any suspension changes on tbis one I'd lower it, front and back

The 3/1 spacer + block leveling kits are generally ok for a pavement princess. I destroyed my stock shocks with a 3/1 kit because I was romping around trying to keep up with some of these long travel maniacs on rough terrain :rofl:I had no problems with it for the first few months when I wasn't trying to destroy my front shocks; ie driving to/from work & occasional dirt roads on the way to shooting

The spacers reduce the amount of travel your front suspension has before it either bottoms out (upward motion is stopped; usually using the shock body itself) or maxes out the downward range of motion of your UCA's/tie rods/etc.

You can do 275/70/18 stock, if you want to pick the front up a little then just get you some 5100's on the middle setting. You can match the rears with 5100's or leave your stocks but for the price of a full set I'd go 5100 on all corners. I'm really waiting 6112's on the 1.9" setting with 5100 in the rear but the 6112's are hard to come by at the moment.

What's the downfall of the spacer idea like Rough country for $189 https://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-suspension-lift-kit-872c.html
I understand it's not great for offroading as it loads up your shocks, but if my truck doesn't leave the pavement, will a kit like this be better looking than just putting 5100's in the front?

I thought about spacer lifts but went overkill instead and got radflos with UCA

I'm basically looking for the best way to get a little more aggressive stance without breaking the bank. If I was offroading/trail riding I'd understand spending the money....just hard to justify a more expensive route for my glorified minivan lol. I just don't like that nose down look....wasn't sure if 5100's would be good doing just the front, or going with a $200 spacer lift

+1 on 5100’s, in coil spacers, and 6112’s even radflos (but those may be a little overkill for a PP)

This might be a dumb question, but if I bought the 6112/5100 setup or the old man emu 612 kit from Toytec should I be buying UCAs as well?
