Gear ratio

    2014 Tundra sr5 double cab 4x4
    My coworker recently bought a 2014 tundra crewmax sr5 trd off road 4x4 with the 5.7 liter and he’s only averaging 10mpg, probably due to his lift and oversized tires, but he asked me how to tell if the previous owner had changed the gear ratio in his differentials but I have no clue. I’m getting 14.2mpg in my stock 2014 tundra sr5 double cab 5.7 liter 4x4. Anyone have any thoughts?

    All depends on the foot. As far as I know, most 3rd gen tundras come stock with 4:30. You could lift the rear end and spin the drive shaft with some tape on the tire to get ratio?
