Foam cannon, rinse, MF dry towel. Sometimes a few squirts of detail spray for streaks.

As you can tell I'm an Adams and Menzerna guy. Truck gets a coat of super sealant twice a year to protect the finish.

Shine supply products in this order. Shine soap in a cannon and double bucket, smooth move paint decontamination, shine clay, Daddy-o- sealant, shine paste over that and then their detailer to remove the wax. Trucks super white and water beads insane and bounces off lol

I’ve found with black just touching it scratched the clear coat so handing drying won’t work for me. If I do hand wash I use two buckets of water one for cleaning one for rinsing then a leaf blower to dry.

Grabbed a better photo of the truck after the clean, wife's rig gets the same love and treatment. Pollen is beginning to set in after one day

Tons of options out there....are you interested in separate polish and wax or one of the AIOs (All in ones)?

It’s almost been a couple months since I posted that. I’ve clay barred it, used TW Black Box Kit, and thinking of buying Mother’s Carnuba Wax Paste? I’m trying to avoid expensive CG/Adams stuff.

I use 3D soap in my foam cannon and wash with MF towels. Gets the job done.

Tons of other options out there besides Chemical Guys Or Adams. I know shipping from the U.S. to Canada is very expensive, so trying to find locally available is obviously your most cost-effective option. Carnuba waxes, while they do give some good warmth and color depth, do not last as long as the synthetics. If Mothers products are local for you, consider their Synthetic Liquid Wax (actually a polymer-based sealant), then topped with a carnuba. It will protect your ride longer, and I think you'll be happy with the results.

I'm a big fan of McKees HiDef sealant, which is only available through mail order, and then you get stuck paying those outrageous shipping fees to Canada. It is top shelf...stupid slick, great color depth, amazing gloss, great longevity. If Meguiars is locally available for you, their Ultimate Liquid Wax is actually a polymer-based sealant. I've gotten 6 months protection from it. Top it with a good carnuba, and you're golden.

Question - are those Go Rhino running boards?

What would be a good carnuba?

No, they’re just OEM Toyota boards, hard plastic. I didn’t know about Rhino boards at the time, that’s what I’d get in retrospect.

I just washed and waxed mine last night.

I use a mitt and Meguiar's basic soap from Costco.

Twice a year, once before summer and once before winter, I had wax my truck with Meguiar's basic wax. I think I got it at O'Reilly's.

In between hand waxing I use a spray on detailing wax to keep the hand wax fresh.

I try not to get too anal; my truck is 8 years old with liberal amounts of desert pinstriping and definitely a few dents and scrapes.

For a carnuba, see if Collinite 845 is available to you, or you could get it shipped to you at a reasonable cost. It's the longest lasting carnuba product I know of. I did a little searching, and Auto Obsessed (Canada) carries it, along with a lot of other good stuff.
