Forgot about that. The 64” wide ones come with 20” of travel, and the 72” ones have 24”. Sounds like a lot of fun to me!

Hmm. They do have a good price on them, more in line with the Yamaha sxs’ than the Can Ams or Polaris.

Does this count? o_O IMG_1946.jpgWould love a new SxS. Who wouldn't? But for a tenth of the price it's a blast! Eventually it'll get a turbo Subie but for now it runs strong.

Where does a guy start to put one of these together? Is there a frame vendor you recommend? My FIL is building an 818 using a subi motor but he has complete frame and plans from the vendor.

I considered one a few times before making the decision on a YXZ. After buying suspension, seats, transaxle and everything else that's needed to get one going, it's cheaper to just buy a used one off CL. The guy that works on my truck always has at least 1 at his shop and when I first asked about a sand rail, he mentioned CL.

My FIL bought a totalled subi from an online auction. Some body damage but runs great. Says every thing he needs to complete the 818 build will come from the subi except seats, rims, tires.

I found this on CL. The frame is a Chenowth 4LWD. I'm guessing the age to be late 90s- early 00s. These are the last of his civilian models, only military models produced now. There are usually a few on CL.
