This was a very cool trip despite having to skip some technical trails be cause I broke a CV. Thats ok though, it just means we'll have to go back lol Here are the links to the media dumps. Enjoy!

    Original post:

Anyone want to wheel Sequoia with us?? We’ll be traversing the southern portion. Sequoia is beautiful and we’ll be able to escape some of the summer heat. I’m still working on final routes. Thursday we’ll meet at noon and wheel Jawbone Canyon and work our way to the Breckenridge Mountains to camp. Friday will be a heavy day of wheeling and we'll make camp at Monache Meadows. Saturday we'll explore some routes in the morning and do an optional hike to the top of Salmon Creek falls in the afternoon. It’s a dope out and back that takes about 3 hours.

I am willing to take 6-8 trucks, send me a PM if you are interested in rolling with us.

    We piss excellence.

    Gear requirements for this trip:
    · 4wd truck in excellent condition with all terrain or mud tires.
    · Full size spare and tools to change it.
    · Solid recovery points front and rear.
    · Complete backcountry camping setup. We will camp in extremely remote areas with no services available. Weather will be unpredictable and we will be camping at high elevations. Make sure you have the appropriate gear and clothing.
    · Make sure you have enough water (1 gallon per person per day duh).
    · Bring as much firewood as you can.

    Confirmed:
    · @osidepunker Alex solo (2nd gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @UncleJimmy Jimmy +1.5 (3rd gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @Spolar Zac solo (3rd gen 4wd Tundra)
    · @spenny Spencer +1 (4wd 4Runner)

    Tentative:
    · Jason (4wd Tacoma)

Meals: We usually share meals. One truck does a dinner or a breakfast one time. Then the rest of the trip you can relax and not worry about cooking. BYO lunches and drinks.
    · Thu dinner: Alex, brats and chili
    · Fri breakfast: BYO
    · Fri dinner: Zac, ???
    · Sat breakfast: Spencer, egg scramble with spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, bacon and cheese
    · Sat dinner: Jimmy, ???
    · Sun breakfast: leftovers

Disclaimer: This isn't a for-profit or organized event. We are just a group of homies who enjoy wheeling and camping and we are always looking to meet new friends. We help each other with breaks and stucks and we never leave anybody behind.

haha no, no one assumed. But I put it in the Big Bear thread because I was asking for money to split the camp sites and I figured people might wonder if I was profiting.

I don't want someone to go head on with a chebby and then tell the insurance companies they were on an organized run LOL

We might be able to tag along. Any route to download for Gaia, or route planned? We are local and can meet up.

I have some routes in mind and as we get closer I'll tighten them up. But I wont be making a gpx file or anything. I usually scan the area and plan routes in my head. That way we can be flexible.

I have Thu and Fri routes and camps planned already. We'll need to figure out where we want to go Sat.

Let me know if you're confirmed and I'll put your name down and add you to the private chat

Can't wait for this trip. I think Lisa and will head up a day or two early to make the drive from Phx more worthwhile. Plus we've never been to the area so we may explore a little bit on the way or something. Hoping to finish up a bunch of tiny things that will make camping just a little more comfy and convenient.

We’ve wanted to go to Yosemite forever. Are there any remote camping there or is it all establish sites? We like to camp primitive away from the crowds as much as possible.

Yuuup! with his old truck that had the actuators on the RTT rack.

And Scooby in the white CM on the other side. I don't think he's on here though...

And @osidepunker off camera to the left. I have a good picture of this camp someplace. It was a dope spot out in Anza.

I can't find the picture, but found this old video.

Before we were Speed Glampers, we were just Uberfahrts. Lisa and I anyway. @osidepunker @dragos28 and Scooby were already pretty quick and I think Draggy and Alex had onboard water. This was Lisa and my first trip with these guys.

There's even a special guest appearance by @Spvrtan at the end of the clip.

    https://youtu.be/tje2QgNvGCY

Then we ran a train on Dragos later that day.

Thanks for that! We won't be in that area, that's the "touristy" area lol Sucks that they're closing it down. People suck but also they should have more funding

Uh you need to do some route planning too mang. I keep getting lost in the maps. The area is too big. Last year I miscalculated route times and we had to scrub the last day and re-direct. It worked out, but I dont want to make that mistake this year. Text me when you get a chance and lets talk

    BUMP

We still have a few spots open if anybody wants to join us.

I have the routes done (no thanks to Kevin ). Friday actually turned into a long day of wheeling after I started looking at trails. I want to get to camp early so we can enjoy the valley so I may cut some routes out depending on time and when we can get started in the morning. We can be flexible.

Sat I have some routes planned for the first part of the day and then we can do an optional hike in the afternoon. The guys who want to hike can put their big boy britches on and those who don't can drink beer at camp or explore some more or whatever.

I am going to attempt to build a gpx file as an experiment. I don't like being tied to any particular routes so don't rely on the file as the final end all be all. More to come
