Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
So a Ram 3500 pulling a 40ft gooseneck trailer broke down in our parking lot, blocking everyone from getting out or in. Well, this was going on for maybe 1 hour before I found out about it.

I proceeded to jump the curb/median thing in the Tundra, which the Silverado and F150 owners next to me were too scared to do... Almost got high-centered but made it.

Then I got in front of the Ram and Offered to pull him out of the way. He did not have a tow rope. I was like, no problem, I have a 25 foot log chain in the back of truck.

Long story short, I put it in 4WD Low and pulled that POS Ram, with the Gooseneck on it out of the way in about 5 minutes.

Now, the 200 coworkers who were waiting to get out can go to lunch.

    Score 1 for the Tundra.

Meanwhile all the other truck owners were too scared to actually use their truck..."Oh no I could never do that, I might scwatch my precious leetle truck" - Coworkers thoughts

The only damage incurred was the other truck owners ego and my dress pants got rust oxidation stains all over them from the log chain.

 I used a chain for a long time. I've since been advised it's better/ safer (cleaner, no rust too) to use a snatch rope or strap for pulling vehicles. I keep the chain around in case I need to move a tree. I also throw a damper over the strap.
I love it when people USE their trucks.

not trying to hijack, but here i go :)

Pizza delivery guy's older ford slipped off the road into the grass and down into the culvert - it'd been raining for a few days, so he was good and stuck in the mud.

I was headed to the grocery store with the wife and kids (5,2,and 3months) and there were 3 or 4 other trucks lined up on the side of the road behind him trying to flag people with 4x4 trucks down. They had the pull rope, told them to hold traffic and I'd give it a shot (i'm only 4x2 but big knobby tires). Eased him out. Didn't slip once, even as I drove over the drenched mud median.

It feels good to help. Especially when others tried and failed lol

    Awesome story!
Now you knaow for next time that you make the stranded guy do all the work.
Only took a couple times before I realized that crawling under someone elses dirty vehicle to help them was not gonna be a common ocurrance (in the ol tacoma).
It also gives you a chance to critique their techniques all while you stand there waiting to do the easy work.
Another win for the Toyota world!

^^^^ There's more to this good advice.. Remove yourself from any blame by having THEM hook up THEIR vehicle. You can advise 'em where to hook up but, just in case their bumper follows you and the rest of their vehicle doesn't, you're not to blame.

Solid work. Haven’t pulled anything heavier than a 10’ trailer yet, but it’s good to know I can drag a dead ram when needed.

I pulled a stuck F150 once. I was looking for my strap and the guy said I have a strap handy. I think he got a little upset when I said "I bet you do"

Point is, we all get stuck from time to time and may need a tug. :D

I’m just glad the OP has brass balls and isn’t scared to help out or use his truck.

The ATV video is rather impressing though.
