Dan Wesson's are nice, especially for what you get at the price point! I loved my Silverback...until I too had a boating mishap...seems to be a rash of those.

I've always had a thing for anything made by Dan Wesson. I still remember when they were the originator of the 41 Magnum revolver. It appears that CZ owns that brand name now.

Correct. And you know if CZ is associated it's the highest quality, straightest shooting, best around. =]

I am trying to goto a single caliber for ease of logistics, 10mm is probably what I will wind up with (pistol and carbine) but I did look up a 308 pistol :D to go with my AR10 but decided this would be a pain in the ass to carry :D

Once you get past the guns you "need", it gets really hard deciding which gun is next from your "want" list! lol

I don't have any 10mm's yet but its on my list. The problem is, one of something is never enough for me. There is actually 3 10mm's on my personal want list... Colt Delta Elite, Glock Gen3 G20SF and a S&W 610 (Pre-lock, 5" barrel)

Always been a 1911 guy, but a friend of mine picked up a Sig P320. I didn't want to mess with his "Plastic" gun, but once I ran a couple mags thru it, I was impressed. So much so that, my wife has one with a light and laser in her nite stand (she's not a big shooter), Daughter has one as her daily CC, and then I got one so I would have a lighter CC. 1911's and ammo are HEAVY for a daily CC.

The CZ 75 frame, in my opinion is superior to the 1911 frame. I will probably get some blowback on that :crapstorm: . But that is just my opinion based on that the slide rides on the inside frame rails, and you can feel a difference in staying on target,..... in my opinion.

    A few months back, I bought a CZ 75 SP-01 in 9mm. Fantastic non-polymer pistol. Excellent shooter.

    sp-01.jpg

While purchasing it, I saw two other guns. I'll preface the following by saying that I've always wanted a 10mm. I had been looking at a S&W 610 6" revolver. But at $1500+, no freakin' way. And I'm not going to buy a Glock. I simply don't like them. At any rate, there was an EAA Tanfoglio Witness Match P in 10mm in the case next to it. So that went on the list.
Then I was totally surprised by another gun in the case. It was a Steyr L9-A1 in 9mm. I had zero knowledge that Steyr made handguns. Everyone knows that Steyr makes the Aug rifle. What is different about the Steyr handguns are the trapezoidal sights. You either love them or hate them.
    About a month later...

    guns.jpg

    Range report:
The CZ is a great pistol. Low recoil. Very accurate. 18+1 capacity. Aftermarket magazines made Mec-Gar, who makes the mag for CZ and work just as well, is 19+1.
Tanfoglio shoots well for a polymer 10mm. I've never shot a Glock 10mm. So I have nothing to compare it to. But now I have a 10mm and it looks very nice and shoots well.
The Steyr... It is phenomenal. 111 degree grip angle. Low bore axis. Trapezoidal sights. I shoot better with the Steyr than I do with my Walther PPQ Navy 9mm.

If I knew someone who was in the market for a handgun, I'd have them take a look at the Steyr handgun line.

CZ 75 is one of the most duplicated designs in the world; even the clones are great shooters. The ergos are sweet.
