So its been a while but I am fairly certain we used Powerstop rotors, and 100% we used Akebono Pads.

Sweet. Considering a drain and refill at this time, 130k miles, not sure if tranny has been serviced. Thinking of refilling with Amzoil. Would you think ok to mix? Most likely WS in service.
    Thoughts?

Amsoil is supposed to be compatible for just a partial fill. They say that all their products are compatible with conventional and most other synthetics. And it meets the Toyota WS specs.

    Not nearly enough room here!
I planned on installing my TRD CAI today but the one I got wasn't in the condition I expected, so it's being replaced.

I started wrapping the interior trim with carbon fibre. It’s fair from perfect being my first vinyl wrap attempt. I bought lots so I will rewrap after more practice of easier prices in the truck. Also added some red accents.

Not that anyone can tell under all this dirt and pollen- but I blacked out the door handles and mirrors. Also paints the hooks red.
Gotta get the skid plate back on soon!

To revisit my earlier post re: tranny flush and new fluid .... It sure does shift smooth now. It was just fine before, but there is a noticeable difference. It might be 75% subjective, but feels like there's less slippage in the torque converter, feels like it pulls stronger, shifts are more positive under moderately hard acceleration, can't even feel it shift when easy on the pedal (only way I can perceive the shift under easy acceleration is the sound of the engine RPMs dropping and the tach drop). I don't know whether it's the Amsoil I filled with or just the fact that it has all new fluid. But it is definitely nice!

Tried doing a burnout today(just bought the truck about a week ago). It was not having it, as I don't think there is any way to fully shut off all the electronic nannies. I held down the traction control(button on the right) and stability control(button on the left) for a few seconds each until the lights in the dash came on. Floored it from a stop, just a couple feet of spin, saw the yellow "Oh my god the wheels are spinning and the computer is losing it shit" light flash for a bit, not sure if it cut power, applied rear brakes or what. Maybe I should have bought the 5.7 instead of the 4.6, but whatever, if I wanted to do burnouts I would've bought a Dodge Challenger or a Corvette.

It did let me do a brake stand though, with much more satisfying results. Only held it for like 3-4 seconds then let off the brake and floored it, spun the tires through 1st up to about 30mph. Still not sure if it was doing a 1 wheel peel or actually spinning both wheels.

Figured that's enough abuse until I need new tires in about 30,000 or 40,000 miles. Just kind of curious as to what she'd do, as I normally don't drive that douchy/beat on my cars that hard. Also I don't think these trucks are nearly light in the ass end as my old 2wd Tacoma or a couple of the 2wd 80's/90's Toyota mini-trucks I've had before.

Well got the new Spyder V2 lights in, the light bar looks great actually, I was pleasantly surprised. Now to get it wired up to a switch or the DRL’s

Probably go LED at some point. High beams are bright for certain. Plug and play. Bought them on Amazon for $275.99 from AKKON.

iPhone pics suck, I still have some adjusting to do - drivers up/down is a bitch to get to so I just take the light out, adjust and see where it lands.

First time I ever wrapped anything. Tint film was 10 bucks on Amazon. Came out pretty good. The best I'd expect from myself for never doing it before. The contour of the tail lights was hard to wrap and I used a hair dryer not a heat gun. The edges are what was the hardest and it's not perfectly smooth but the only way to tell is to actually look for it or know what your looking at lol. I love them!

And I only wrapped the red section of the tail lights and got them off ebay.

Not really "To My 2nd Gen" yet, but close... I'm also considering putting some yellow surface mount LEDs on top of the IFS skid to back light the RCI emblem

Finally got some time on the ROCK warrior wheels! I cleaned the Crap out of them first....70E32259-BD32-4E53-9818-E8DD0E9AF0D8.jpg
After....EA7C5038-2354-4756-9B3F-0F0BE4084945.jpg then did a test fit, to make sure they would clear the brakes!D7DB997E-9502-4CE1-94FF-9345D41584C3.jpg
6C698685-669E-4836-BAA7-86B7374F19DE.jpg Then scuffed with a scotch brite pad and purple power to remove any traces of wax/grease. Then primed the spokes(inside and out).640316F1-6426-4FB1-B2A6-5A7E605E964B.jpg. I also wet sanded my headlights in order to give them fresh clear coat, when I clear the wheels! ^ Serious wheel envy here, I want a 17" set of those rock warrior wheels with the white letter BF Goodrich tires on my truck. Those wheels/tires simply look the business on our trucks but still ride nice and are quiet cruising down the interstate.

Last week got all twisted, and I wasn’t able to get things done in time to get my tires on the Warrior wheels... SO... I decided to do some more LED swaps. I’ve got Low beam, High beam, and Fogs, as well as Tail/brake and rear indicators. I also Finally got my OPT7 three row tailgate bar(with sequential indicators) installed! (Still need to do front indicators and reverse lights).

Please do yourself and Anyone that rides in your truck a solid and pay the higher cost for Legit LED bulbs. I first went cheap, and bought the $5/pr set off eBay... they aren’t very Bright at all, and cause hyper flash(left one in pic below). The other one is the Zevo, and they are Bright!! *****Edit for correction**** “And No hyper flash!” Should read, “still hyper flash..‍♂️..”. Guess I’ll just get an LED flasher module!!(pic above has Zevo on DS and cheapo on PS)...

Lastly, I installed this shiny little bit, pictured on top of the strut! 1” level kit! I’m certain this will get the appearance I want once the tires and Warriors are on!(hopefully tomorrow!)E2117749-508C-4746-9577-37794208C146.jpg
