Anyone else had to use shims for the MX4 rails attaching to the bed caps on a 2017 Tundra? The rails will be nowhere near level without them.

Looks like I need to call Bak for them. Never saw a mention of it until I got everything out ready to install. I guess I could fashion some but I assume they have them since they mention it in the install sheet.

When I installed mine last month, the shims were already attached to the rails... they are just theses little hard foam like pads spaced along where the rails meet the inside of the bed

Mine did not come with the shims. I installed without and dont have any problems. Everything lined up fine and latches work perfect. Dont think the shims would hurt though.

I don’t have my MX4 anymore. Sold it. But I recall from the install instructions our gen Tundra didn’t need the shims, it wasn’t in the specs.
