So I called a local Toyota dealer today for pricing and availability on front & rear brake pads. Quoted in stock $99 and $69. I asked if they price matched online prices, he told me he couldn't but on their website I would get a better deal through a query. I filled out the query, name, contact info, VIN, and part #'s. Got new pricing with a ref # for $55 and $65 (did not come off rears as much but close to online). You have to have the VIN and the part #'s but that is close to online pricing with no wait. Not sure if all other dealers offer this but thought I would pass along.
The one downside; I got a call from dealership sales dept. wanting to know if I wanted to make an appt. to come see the 07 Tundra???? Or trade my 07 in???? I had to explain I was only looking for parts. He seemed really confused. Somehow their site sent me to used cars sales as well.

Excellent! Of course they want you to trade in. My local dealer salesmen finally leave me alone. I always say..."Trade up to what? More nannies?"

Why would I want to trade? You guys told me these things will run forever. They never know what to say to that. :D

For those of you that aren't afraid of going to the dealer.....My parts dept gave me a 20% off parts coupon. Used it twice (except TRD). Actually I've been buying so many hats and other stuff.. My parts guy automatically gives me a discount when I come in. Don't need the coupon. Being nice pays off!
