Anyone ever tow more than one trailer? What are your thoughts on that? Recipe for disaster? How do you guys pull your tt and boat?

As far as I know, here in Wisconsin anyone with zero experience towing anything can hook up a giant 5th wheel camper with a boat or full-sized car behind it, and drag it around anywhere they want. It's a spooky sight when I think about what kind of amateur might be behind the wheel of that beast.

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
Not legal in Cali. I tow a lot but can't quite wrap my head around trying to back up with 2 trailers.

Yeah I’ve got some pretty good skills backing up big trailers into tight spots. But I would never consider towing two trailers. Even driving forward would be nerve-racking. I bet I wouldn’t even be able to see the second trailer in my mirrors. It’s a big fat nope. Putting peoples lives in danger with something like that.

No issue at all as long as you are using a 5th wheel trailer to pull the bumper pull trailer.

There is suprising little load added to the truck.

Stay within the bed weight limits and total towing weight limits and it is easy and safe.

Those of us that tandem tow do very little backing up while hooked double. In fact I can't remember backing up more than a few feet. We always disconnect the second trailer, park the camper the hook up to the boat and park that. Most cases it is a boat we are towing.

The operator is supposed to have an endorsement, at least in my state, to tow tandem. Its not enforced. In fact I don't have the endorsement on my driver's liscence.

    Legal in CO.

5th wheel with a small trailer behind doesn’t bother me. The travel trailer with a boat does.

    This is why....

Notice how many axles are upside down....

I've never done it personally but I've seen it done plenty of times. If the driver is comfortable doing it then I don't see a problem with it.

Here in NM the law states that the trailer connected to the tow vehicle has to have a functioning trailer brake system on it in order to tow tandem behind it.
