What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

You can google “Toyota Tundra Salvage Parts” to find some yards that have large selection, look at pics of trucks, call them to price and ship to you. There’s about 3 in Sacramento area.

Dumb question on the 18 headlights, are the upper and lower white strips the DRLs, and the amber is blinker only? Can both be DRL?

ordered another set of decals from @rrentrop

tundra vinyl inserts just below the radio and vinyl overlays for the chrome vents. both in blazing blue color.

ive ordered a lot from him via the Tacoma world forums over the last 3yrs. never had an issue with any of his products on the 2016 Tacoma and no issue with the tundra tailgate vinyl inserts.

 

I left the DRL ambers unaffected for a while but then I decided to cut the gray wire (DRL delete mod) so they only turn on as signals or hazards. I felt this was safer for oncoming traffic that they could clearly see one side flashing, instead of both on and one flashing.

Note the ambers do turn off when low and high beams are on, so I’m referring to daytime safety.

Swapped out ditch light pods for new 40w combo beam pods.

 

Both upper and lower are drl. The amber can be set to delete or stay on as drl as well depends on how you want it.

 

And these are plug and play with a 2015? How much are these?

How new antenna signal is and where did you get it from?

 

I have a 6" stubby I got from Amazon and it works great. I get HD radio to. The reception is almost as good as the stock antenna.

Does anyone know if our trucks have a double layer roof? I'm thinking of mounting a couple of quick fists on the ceiling to hold a short barrel shotgun.

 

I'll keep looking. I checked my Amazon briefly and couldn't find it but I'll keep looking when I get home.

 

I would have guessed that they were double-layered based on the fact that so many have sunroofs. Mine does not have a sunroof.

They should have a red plastic piece with teeth that helps hold it in place. I was having issues with them popping up along the sides and they sent me strips of velcro to help hold them in place.

It's called "the stubby" antenna and I got it on eBay. Reception gets a little weak for some stations when you leave town.
